Singer Patrick Bruel, the target of investigations over allegations of sexual assault, has suspended all of his performances. The information was released by him on his official Instagram account, on September 1st. The tour included 35 shows across the country, originally scheduled to take place between October 2nd and November 21st.
In his post on the platform, the artist explained that, despite his initial intention to maintain his concert schedule, he never saw the situation as a challenge or a provocation. Bruel stated that he realized that, currently, the tour has transformed into something different, becoming the representation of a broader discussion that goes beyond its original purpose, highlighting how public accusations can impact the careers of public figures even before judicial resolutions. As a result, he decided to cancel the presentations.
Bruel clarified that this measure does not represent, in any way, a giving up of his legal defense. He emphasized that the choice was made independently, without any imposition from the judicial system or any other party. The singer concluded that current circumstances prevent shows from maintaining their essential character as moments of music and interaction with the public.
