The new Strawberry Salt Churro Ice Cream Taco will be available in restaurants from September 1, 2026.
The long-awaited partnership with Salt & Straw and the history of Tacolate
The collaboration between Taco Bell and Salt & Straw began in 2025, with the launch of Tacolate, a recreation of the classic Choco Taco, discontinued by Klondike. This ice cream taco quickly won over the crowd with its cinnamon ancho ice cream inside a waffle cone, covered in dark chocolate and crispy puffed rice, and served with mango jalapeño and cinnamon berry sauces. Tacolate sold out almost immediately, generating great anticipation for its return.
In March, during the Live Más Live event, Taco Bell had already signaled its intention to bring back the partnership, announcing a Salt & Straw drink for Live Más Café. Now, the chain is fulfilling its promise, expanding the offer for fans of innovative and limited edition desserts.

For 2026, Taco Bell introduces the Strawberry Salt Churro Ice Cream Taco, a revamped version of the history-making item. This new taco maintains the waffle cone and dark chocolate topping with puffed rice, but now features churro-flavored ice cream.
