Talks for the possible return of striker Richarlison to Everton ended on September 1, 2026. The player, who currently plays for Tottenham Hotspur, will not complete his transfer to the Liverpool club.

Sources linked to the negotiations indicated that negotiations have cooled considerably. Everton signaled that it was unable to afford the transfer price established by Tottenham nor the Brazilian athlete’s salary.

Tottenham set a value of 30 million pounds (equivalent to R$208.77 million) for Richarlison’s release. The striker has a contract with the London club for another year, with the possibility of an extension for another season.

Due to financial demands, discussions with another interested party, Aston Villa, also did not progress, preventing a possible move to the Birmingham club.

Considering that the Premier League transfer market closes on September 1, 2026, the completion of any deal involving Richarlison in the next few hours is considered unlikely.

Given this scenario, there is a great chance that the striker will remain at Tottenham, even though he previously expressed to coach Roberto De Zerbi his desire to leave White Hart Lane.

Now, expectations fall on possible proposals from countries whose transfer windows will still remain open for a few more days, such as Türkiye, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

People close to the player indicate that clubs in these emerging markets have the financial capacity to cover both the amount requested by Tottenham and the center forward’s salaries.
