While the highly anticipated GTA 6 captures the spotlight, the veteran Grand Theft Auto V is about to receive a significant update. The NoPixel community has announced the closed beta phase of its NoPixel V server, scheduled to launch on September 8, 2026, providing direct access to invited players via the Rockstar Games Launcher.
This implementation signals official recognition from Rockstar Games, producer of the title, for an initiative that converts the base of Grand Theft Auto V into a dynamic multiplayer environment, entirely managed by the player base itself.
The latest update deeply overhauls the experience within the server, introducing improvements to crucial systems. The character creation tool, for example, has been improved to provide a wider range of customization alternatives. In addition, the Los Santos metropolis will have new areas, including the Pixel Hotel & Casino, and a six-block redesign in the Cypress Flats location.
The optimizations also cover the visual quality of the game, new types of legal and illegal occupations, and improved pedestrian behavior in the urban scenario. However, the most awaited point is the completion of the construction of the skyscraper, a milestone that took 13 years to complete.
Complementing the server’s debut, there will be a rewards action aimed at viewers on the Twitch platform, valid from September 8 to 30, 2026. Participants who follow NoPixel V broadcasts will be able to redeem up to GTA$ 1,500,000 and a Burger Shot sweatshirt to be used in GTA Online.
The team responsible for the project has already indicated that new information will be shared in the future, covering updates such as a superimposed interface for computers, future events and planning to expand access to more users.
