Xiaomi is releasing an important update for HyperOS 4, which brings new features to Super Island, the dynamic interface integrated into the front camera of Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO smartphones. The new features, which include actions for authentication codes and improved animations, began to be released to beta testers of the system since August 28th.
Innovations coming to Super Island
Super Island, a feature that visually expands the area around the front camera to display information and interactions, receives a package of improvements focused on usability and connectivity. The main new features include:
- Simplified authentication:The dynamic island can now identify and copy authentication codes received in messages with a simple gesture on the screen.
- Real-time animations:Increases fluidity and visual responsiveness in different situations of use of the device.
- Adaptation to smart car systems:Allows control of vehicle functions by voice command, adjusting the environment based on external data.
Ease of managing security codes
One of the most anticipated features is Super Island’s ability to process authentication codes more efficiently. With a three-finger swipe up on the screen, the user can make Super Island automatically identify and copy codes present in messages. This practicality speeds up the login or confirmation process, keeping the code visible until it is tapped again to paste it into the desired field in other applications. This feature optimizes security and agility in everyday digital interactions.
Dynamic animations and connection with vehicles
New real-time animations promise a richer and more responsive visual experience, adapting to user interactions more fluidly. Furthermore, the integration of Super Island with smart car systems marks an important step in the connectivity of the Xiaomi ecosystem. By connecting the smartphone to the vehicle’s multimedia center, the Super Xiao AI assistant can be activated by voice command to make automatic adjustments. It is capable of modifying the air conditioning temperature based on the external climate and adjusting other information panel settings, ensuring greater comfort while driving.
Availability and the future of HyperOS
The Super Island updates, which arrive with version 8.2 of Super Xiao AI, are now accessible to users who have been part of the HyperOS 4 beta testing program since August 28. Xiaomi continues to invest in HyperOS as its unified operating system, seeking to integrate multiple devices and offer a fluid experience.
In addition to the improvements to Super Island, the company also updated the camera application interface and published the requirements for cell phones to receive the new Soft Light Glass interface, expanding the reach of the innovations to a wider range of the brand’s devices.
