Unpublished messages show federal deputy Nikolas Ferreira (PL-MG) asking banker Daniel Vorcaro, former owner of Banco Master, for help for a friend and lawyer associated with his parliamentary office. The conversations were published in a journalistic column on September 3, 2026.
Parliamentarian requested support for mining asset
The request made by Nikolas Ferreira to Daniel Vorcaro aimed to speed up the release of a mining asset that was pending at the banker’s company. The request was sent via WhatsApp audio on March 30, 2025, in the name of Thiago Rodrigues de Faria, lawyer and former advisor to the deputy.
The politician stated that he did not have a close relationship with the businessman, but expressed his desire to do so. Despite this, Nikolas referred to Vorcaro as “Dani” and, in another communication, called him “gorgeous”.
In one of the audios, Nikolas Ferreira said: “Hey Dani, how are you? How are you? How are things there? Sorry to bother you on a Sunday, it’s a quick game, I don’t want to take up too much of your time either. Here’s the thing, my friend, my lawyer, in short, my brother here, commented to me and spoke about your name. I said: ‘I don’t know Dani, anyway, I don’t have the closeness like that, even the one I wanted to have, anyway, to talk and exchange ideas, but I know him’. He said: ‘man, I have a mining asset there, he’s already gone through his technical details, anyway, it’s pending there, there are some people who know about it at the company’. And I said: ‘no, hey, I can give him a heads up’. He’s here for you to play, okay? Besides, I’m at your disposal for anything.”
Minutes after the parliamentarian’s audio, Vorcaro responded with a unique preview message. Then, Nikolas Ferreira shared Thiago Faria’s contact with the banker.
“Amen brother. We are at war together,” Vorcaro wrote.
The following day, the deputy informed that his lawyer would be in Brasília and available for a conversation. A day later, Vorcaro responded with the message: “Leave it to me.”
There is no information in the messages that confirms whether the meeting between the parties took place or whether the request made by Faria was fulfilled.
Nikolas Ferreira’s advisors were contacted to comment on the matter, but have not yet provided feedback.
Thiago Faria, the lawyer, declared that the deputy was campaigning and that the questions would not be forwarded to him, classifying them as “nothing to do”. He also mentioned that he knew Vorcaro from Belo Horizonte, both being from the same city and knowing “everyone”. Faria clarified that the contact with the banker was due to the ore asset and concluded: “I was never called to testify before the PF [Federal Police] because I had nothing to do with it.”
Vorcaro’s statements about funding Nikolas’ flights
The former banker had expressed dissatisfaction with the deputy’s publications that criticized an event, held in April 2024, in London, which had the participation of authorities and was sponsored by Banco Master. In messages sent to businessman Flávio Carneiro, Daniel Vorcaro wrote: “This Nikolas, I paid for all his flights.” The banker also threatened to make the information public, using the phrase: “Vouch [sic] to let this go.”
In 2022, Nikolas used a jet owned by Vorcaro for approximately ten days for his campaign in support of former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL). Pastor Guilherme Batista, from the Lagoinha Church, led by André Valadão, traveled with the parliamentarian. When the use of the plane was publicized by a journalistic outlet, Nikolas declared that, initially, he did not know who owned the aircraft.
Daniel Vorcaro contacted pastor André Valadão to complain about Nikolas’ posts. “There were several right-wing people at the event, supporters of the event, including several who supported him, like us. The speech ended up being bad, he encouraged and propagated [sic] an attack on me, as he did now”, said the banker to the pastor.
Valadão confirmed that he had spoken to Nikolas, who, according to him, was not aware that the event in London had been funded by Banco Master. “I spoke to him, you know, about all the appreciation, all the support we have and everything, and that sometimes things come to him in a way that isn’t the truth.” The then owner of Banco Master responded, asking: “I just need to know if we are on the same side or now we are against each other.”
In March 2025, the parliamentarian resumed dialogue with Vorcaro and apologized for the critical publications. “I exchanged ideas with Pastor Valadão at that time, in that post. I said: ‘Pastor, I had no idea that this was Dani’s bank, etc., etc., otherwise, obviously, I wouldn’t have posted it, I would have already talked about it previously’, but, in the end, it turns out that the word said can’t be taken back, right? But I hope it’s been clarified, anyway, then we’ll arrange for us to meet too, okay? A hug, gorgeous”, said Nikolas in audio.
