That early release establishes the material in the commercial market prior to subsequent device rollouts.
Apple will also incorporate the M16 panel into the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the iPhone Duo.
Standard Galaxy flagships transition to intermediate screens
The standard Galaxy S27 and the Galaxy S27+ will adopt the M14 OLED panel rather than the flagship M16 substrate. That component selection represents a generational step up from the M13 panels used in the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+.
Samsung also plans to transition the Galaxy Z Fold9 series beyond the older M13 OLED screens.
