Antonelli acknowledged that misjudging the grip level caused the collision. “The grip was ramping up very fast, lap after lap,” Antonelli stated. “Suddenly, I went in and had a lot more front end than the lap before and clipped the wall. So, mistake on my side. Completely unnecessary. To be fair, I am very annoyed with this and I will try to make up for it tomorrow.”

“It is a good way to come back to reality and remind myself that I need to be always on it and in control of the situation; otherwise, I end up making these mistakes, and quite stupid mistakes,” Antonelli added.
