Dual 120 Hz LTPO screens and MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processing power
Hardware capabilities on the vivo X Fold6 center on a dual-screen configuration engineered for productivity and multimedia playback. The inner folding workspace features an 8.02-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 2312×2504 pixels, while the exterior cover panel offers a 6.51-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1120×2528 pixels. Both panels support an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz alongside a peak brightness rating of 5,000 nits, ensuring visibility under direct sunlight.
Under the chassis, the international model carries the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition processor, built to manage demanding multi-window multitasking tasks and sustained graphic workloads. Consumers can select configurations offering up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of onboard storage. The device also integrates dual durability ratings of IP58 and IP59 for protection against solid particles and high-pressure liquid ingress, paired with a BlueVolt 6,900 mAh battery that accepts 80W wired fast charging and 40W wireless power replenishment.
ZEISS camera system led by 200 MP sensor
Imaging capabilities on the device continue the strategic partnership between vivo and optics specialist ZEISS. The rear camera module centers on a 200 MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, designed to retain fine details in varied lighting conditions. The auxiliary sensors include a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera capable of 3x optical zoom, as well as a 50 MP ultrawide sensor for landscape and group photography. For video calling and self-portraits, the manufacturer installed two separate 20 MP front cameras, placing one on the external cover screen and the other inside the main folding display.

OriginOS 7 Fold software integrates Android 17 and AI workspace tools
The global variant of the vivo X Fold6 marks the operational debut of the OriginOS 7 Fold interface, developed on top of Android 17. The system introduces the Multi-Task Workbench layout, which combines the Origin Workbench setup consisting of one primary application window and four auxiliary panes, alongside a Multi-Split Screen mode that arranges up to four resizable apps side by side. Data sharing across active utilities operates through an AI Cross-App Drag function.
Productivity software includes an AI Meeting Assistant equipped with AI Recorder for physical discussions and AI Captions for real-time subtitling during virtual conferences. The built-in AI Reader Mode converts complex documents into what the company described in its announcement as “clean eBook layouts for comfortable long-form reading”. Management functions rely on the Jovi artificial intelligence agent, which can interface with connected computers via voice control to “search and understand materials, generate content, and complete end-to-end office workflows”, while the vivo Office Kit supplies a desktop-style workspace when linked to external monitors.
vivo expands foldable distribution after initial domestic rollout
The global rollout of the vivo X Fold6 on October 1, 2026, marks an expansion of the manufacturer’s typical distribution strategy. In previous generations, earlier entries in the vivo X Fold lineup remained restricted to the domestic Chinese market for extended periods before receiving limited international shipments. The original domestic launch of the vivo X Fold6 took place around Tuesday, June 30, 2026, where it retailed starting at 7,999 RMB, approximately US$ 1,120.
Regional availability and pending market schedules
vivo did not include pricing details for every regional territory in its primary global press release, leading local European branches to issue their own pricing notices. Distribution in India is expected to roll out across October 2026, according to regional trade schedules.
The company has not confirmed release dates, carrier partnerships, or retail prices for Brazil or other Latin American countries, leaving local availability in those markets unannounced.
