Health complications stemming from pituitary gigantism, brain tumors, severe hyperglycemia, and kidney failure claimed the life of 26-year-old Chinese content creator Xiao Yue on Monday, October 12, 2026, in China’s Sichuan province. Standing 2.18 meters tall, the internet personality had built an audience by documenting her daily life alongside her husband, who measures 1.65 meters.

Her husband and widower, Zihao, shared the news of her passing through social media posts. Together for four years, the couple attracted widespread attention on Douyin, the Chinese counterpart to the video platform TikTok, where viewers followed their domestic routine and the 53-centimeter height contrast between them.

Born in Sichuan, the 26-year-old also used her videos to show how she and her partner addressed public remarks regarding their physical disparity. Neither the full legal names of Xiao Yue and Zihao, who were known publicly only by their online handles, nor the specific hospital where her death was recorded have been released.

Background and family life of the Sichuan content creator

  • Age at time of death: 26 years old.
  • Couple’s height measurement: 2.18 meters for Xiao Yue and 1.65 meters for Zihao, representing a 53-centimeter difference.
  • Hometown and region: Sichuan province, China.
  • Surviving family: her husband Zihao, after a four-year relationship, and an infant son aged approximately one year.

Medical condition and progression of central nervous system tumors

The creator lived with secondary diabetes alongside pituitary gigantism, an uncommon disorder caused by the overproduction of growth hormone in the body. Following the identification of two tumors within her central nervous system, her clinical condition worsened into acute hyperglycemia and renal failure.

Prior to the final decline in her health, Zihao brought his wife back to her hometown so she could rest and stabilize her blood glucose levels. The couple intended to prepare her body for a scheduled surgical procedure to extract the brain tumor, yet the 26-year-old died before doctors could perform the operation.

In his farewell message, Zihao recounted the medical assessment they had received earlier. “The doctor told me that, in fact, it was a very mild condition and that it would only be a minimally invasive procedure to remove the tumor from her brain,” Zihao stated. “I never imagined that this illness could take someone’s life,” the widower added.

Within the same tribute, the husband reflected on how his wife interacted with her online followers. “No matter what people said about her, she always met their requests,” Zihao said. In the final update she published before her death, Xiao Yue also addressed the encouragement she received from her audience: “Although life is full of difficulties, there is still warmth to sustain me”.
