Toyota Yaris 2026 arrives updated with more equipment and manual transmission in the Urban version

On February 20, 2026, Toyota announced the update of the Yaris, a model that arrived at Japanese dealerships on March 2 of the same year. The change brought more complete standard equipment, greater comfort and the inclusion of manual transmission in the special version. Prices start at 1,697,300 yen (approximately equivalent to R$169,000 at the time) and reach 2,884,200 yen in the top-of-the-line configuration.

The special Z “Urbano” version gained the option of a 1.5 gasoline engine with six-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. Essa configuration serves drivers who seek greater involvement when driving. The line as a whole maintained its leadership in January 2026 sales, with 11,192 registered units of the Yaris family, according to data from Associação Japonesa, Concessionários, and Automóveis.

The Yaris continues to use the TNGA platform, which guarantees high rigidity and reduced weight. Essa base contributes to the good dynamic behavior and low consumption of the hybrid system, characteristics that have consolidated the model as a reference in the compact segment.

The Z grade now has a 10.5-inch multimedia display compatible with connected navigation. Já the G grade received an 8-inch Plus screen and the smart keyless entry and start system in all versions. Essas updates improve connectivity and practicality in everyday life.

In hybrid models, the Toyota included an electronic parking brake and the Auto Hold function as standard items. The Z and G hybrid grades also have a front armrest, which increases comfort on longer journeys.

External changes and new color

The color Mustard was incorporated into the Z grade catalogue. Espelhos exterior mirrors and fin antenna received a glossy black finish across the entire range, creating greater harmony in the design.

The special version Urbano received exclusive black details and the option to combine with Mustard. Esse set reinforces the urban and sophisticated proposal of the model.

Kit Modellista for outdoor

The aerodynamic set Modellista, already painted, costs 138,600 yen. Inclui front spoiler, side skirts, rear diffuser and applique on the rear bumper. The four pieces create a more aggressive and integrated look.

Chrome details appear on the headlight appliqués and mirrors, each for 16,500 yen. Black alloy Rodas with polished face are also available to complement the exterior package.

Interior with a retro and luxury touch

The highlight is the light wood interior panel kit, for 37,400 yen. The finish covers the instrument panel and electric window panels, transforming the cabin into a more refined environment with a strong retro inspiration.

The set of LED lights for the roof and trunk costs 22,000 yen. White surface lighting replaces conventional lamps, improving internal visibility and creating a feeling of greater spaciousness in the space.

Prices and market positioning

The updated line’s price range is from 1,697,300 yen to 2,884,200 yen. The special version Urbano starts at 2,307,800 yen and reaches 2,994,200 yen in the most equipped configuration. The manual transmission offer expands the options for different usage profiles.
