Thermomix records a drop in sales in Poland in 2025 and loses its position as second largest market
The Polish Thermomix market has entered a new phase. Polônia, which had been ranked second globally in Vorwerk’s business for years, has fallen to third place in the international revenue rankings. The numbers reveal a profound transformation in the consumption pattern that shaped the premium small appliance industry at Europa Central.
Até 2023, the sale of Thermomix on Polônia generated revenue of approximately 290 million euros for Vorwerk. In 2025, this value plummeted to 213 million euros, a contraction of around 77 million euros in two years. The number of units sold also fell: from 172 thousand devices in 2024 to 143 thousand in 2025. The pace of commercialization shrank from one Thermomix sold every three minutes to a considerably slower reality.
Alemanha extends dominance while Polônia retreats
Alemanha consolidated its hegemony in the segment. German sales reached 601 million euros in 2025, with real growth compared to the previous year. The country represents the largest Thermomix market on the planet and is continually expanding this position. Nenhuma another nation comes close to the revenue obtained by its German neighbors.
Polônia now occupies fourth place in European revenue. França took second place with 279 million euros. Itália appears in third, with 251 million euros. Esses data indicates that the peak of Polish demand has ended and that the product has reached saturation in the local market after years of exponential growth.
Wojciech Ćmikiewicz, general director and member of the management board of Vorwerk Polska, confirmed in 2025 that the company recognizes the structural change. Durante interviewed on the program “Biznes klasa”, he presented the numbers that demonstrate this reality. The corporation’s internal narrative recognizes that many consumers who planned to purchase Thermomix have already completed their purchases.
Quando fashion turns into saturation
The phenomenon of falling is not mysterious. Thermomix operated as an aspirational consumer good in Polônia for nearly a decade. The product has become synonymous with modern and efficient cooking. Cada Homes that wanted to keep up with trends, that sought to rationalize their time on culinary activities or that simply wanted to boast access to premium European technology were looking for an Thermomix. The expansive demand cycle created a virtually unrepeatable moment: straight-line growth with little competition.
Contudo, markets have limits. Quando penetration reaches a certain level, number of households that already have the product or plan to have it, growth necessarily slows down. Polônia has apparently surpassed that point. The market does not disappear, but its nature changes. Deixa from being expansive to becoming replacement: new devices will reach homes only when previous ones fail or when future generations enter the consumer market.
The still impressive revenue of 213 million euros should not be interpreted as a corporate failure. Poucas companies would like to have operations that generate this volume of revenue in a single country. But the trajectory reveals that exponential growth is over. Vorwerk will face dynamics that are radically different from those that characterized the period from 2015 to 2023.
European Contexto and demand redistribution
The rising German performance suggests that demand has not disappeared, it has migrated geographically. It is possible that Vorwerk intensified efforts to penetrate the German market after recognizing signs of exhaustion at Polônia. Sales operations have been redirected. Recursos markets concentrated where there was still potential for aggressive growth.
Itália also registered positive movement with 251 million euros. Esse market can still offer room for expansion. França, which now occupies second place with 279 million euros, demonstrates the ability to continuously absorb the product. Esses markets have different Thermomix life cycles than the Polish ones.
2022 Dados adds context. Naquele year, approximately 250 thousand Thermomix found “their nest in Polish homes”, as a common expression in the industry. Dois years later, 172 thousand units were sold. In 2025, only 143 thousand. The decline is accelerating. The annual pace of reduction suggests that the market may stabilize at a significantly lower level in the coming years.
Implicações for the premium home appliance sector
The Thermomix/Poland case offers a relevant lesson for companies operating in premium and aspirational product segments. Initial Crescimento based on novelty and status effects is real and expressive, but temporary. Quando the potential consumer base has already acquired the asset, the dynamics change irreversibly. Não is a marketing failure or product quality is simply the natural limit of the market.
Para to Vorwerk specifically, the transition means a need for strategic reassessment. Investimentos in expanding presence in Polônia presents decreasing returns. Diversificação geographic becomes imperative. Focusing on emerging markets or nations where Thermomix is still new will offer better growth prospects.
Consumidores Poles who do not yet have Thermomix form a progressively smaller group. The company can only rely on replacement purchases and natural recycling of old units. Esse business model is less dynamic, less profitable and less attractive to shareholders who expect year-on-year growth.
Posicionamento future
Polônia will remain important to Vorwerk 213 million euros is not insignificant amount. Todavia is no longer a strategic growth priority. The corporate focus has changed. The next few years will likely witness stabilization of Polish sales at around 140,000 to 150,000 units annually.
The German market remains the main driver for Vorwerk. With 601 million euros and an upward trajectory, it represents a space where growth is still possible. Nação with larger population and robust purchasing power offers continuous margin for uptake of premium products.
The transformation of the Polish Thermomix market illustrates the cycle that many sectors experience: innovation, mass adoption, saturation, maturity. Reconhecer this progression and adapting to it defines long-term corporate success.
