Fukuhara Haruka doesn’t hold back tears during live performance of Kaede at the cinema

The special preview event for the film “楓” (Kaede), with a screening accompanied by a live show, took place on the night of December 9, 2025 at Tóquio. Singer 十明 (Jumei) performed a cover version of the song “楓”, a classic by Spitz that inspires the work. The protagonists Fukushi Sota and Fukuhara Haruka, as well as the director Yōkatei Isao, surprised the audience by appearing at the location.

The presentation lasted about four minutes and moved the audience. Fukuhara Haruka couldn’t hold back her tears during the performance. Fukushi Sota also praised the interpretation, highlighting the “temperature” conveyed by the artist’s voice.

Reactions of the protagonists

Fukuhara Haruka wiped her eyes while listening to the music. The actress declared, still emotional: “It was incredible. Só brings tears to remember. Muito hot.”

Fukushi Sota, sitting at the side, remained attentive throughout the song. Ele commented: “Very good. Senti the temperature of the voice and it reached the heart even stronger.”

What is the movie “楓”

The story revolves around Ryo (Fukushi Sota), who loses his twin brother in an accident. Ele starts living with his brother’s girlfriend, Ako (Fukuhara Haruka), being mistaken for the deceased.

Ako also carries a secret of her own. The two become closer without revealing the truth, creating a romance marked by guilt and inevitable attraction.

The plot uses the lyrics and melody of “楓”, released by Spitz in 1998, as a narrative basis. Director Yōkatei Isao had already worked with musical themes in previous projects.

Cover version signed by 十明

The artist 十明 was specially chosen to record the film’s soundtrack. Sua version maintains the original acoustic arrangement, but gains new emotion with a crystal clear voice.

The song plays at key moments in the production and has already accumulated millions of plays on Japanese platforms since the trailer was released. At the event, the audience sang live and received prolonged applause.

Expectations for the national debut

The film “楓” arrives in cinemas throughout the Japão on December 19, 2025. The production is distributed by Toho and has free classification.

Ticket advances are already in high demand at chains like T-Joy and Aeon Cinema. Críticos who attended the preview sessions highlight the chemistry between the protagonists and the sensitive use of the theme song.

Fukuhara Haruka has prominent roles in NHK dramas and recent films. Sua interpretation of “楓” is considered one of the most mature of his career.
