Xiaomi launches global Redmi Note 15 Pro+ with 200MP camera and Snapdragon 7s Gen 4

Xiaomi announced the international launch of the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, a model that had already been presented at China months before. The smartphone arrives with adjustments compared to the Chinese variant, prioritizing a high-resolution main camera and faster charging. Sales begin in January, with a suggested starting price of €499 in selected markets.

The device maintains its focus on the premium mid-range segment, offering advanced features in photography, autonomy and performance. Diferente of the Chinese version, the global model swaps the 50MP main sensor for a 200MP one, while reducing the battery capacity to accommodate 100W charging.

Design and resistance

The global Redmi Note 15 Pro+ adopts robust construction with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K certifications, ensuring protection against dust and water in extreme conditions.

The device includes an in-display fingerprint reader and stereo speakers with support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio. The design features curved edges and varied color options, weighing approximately 207 grams.

The Xiaomi has incorporated the Surge T1S tuner to optimize signals from Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and cellular networks.

Improved cameras

The photographic configuration highlights the 200MP main sensor with optical stabilization (OIS) and 2x and 4x in-sensor zoom.

Performance and hardware

The Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor ensures fluid performance in daily tasks and games, with options of up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The device runs HyperOS based on Android 15, with support for generative AI features on the device. Conectividade includes Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and eSIM.

Battery and charging

The 6500mAh battery with silicon-carbon technology offers extended autonomy, despite being smaller than the 7000mAh of the Chinese version.

100W fast charging allows full recharging in a short time. Initial Testes indicates a good balance between capacity and speed.

Presales for the global Redmi Note 15 Pro+ start on January 5th, with prices starting at €499 for the base configuration.

The value may vary by region, equivalent to approximately R$3200 in direct conversion. Xiaomi plans to expand to markets such as Europa and Ásia, with details about arrival at Brasil not yet confirmed.
