Apple has begun testing the next iPhone operating system update with the release of the first beta of iOS 26.3 to developers and public testing program participants. Essa version introduces features that ease the user experience, including a dedicated migration tool for Android devices. Betas were made available simultaneously for iPadOS 26.3, tvOS 26.3, macOS 26.3, watchOS 26.3, and visionOS 26.3.
The developers have already identified the main changes in this initial testing phase. The update promises to bring practical improvements for those considering switching ecosystems. The company maintains the pace of occasional updates to refine the system.
Main new features identified
The iOS 26.3 beta highlights three key features that are expected to make it into the final version. Esses improvements focus on usability and device customization.
- New “Transfer to Android” system makes it easier to migrate data from an iPhone to a device with the Google system. The tool guides the process of transferring contacts, photos and other essential files.
- Changes to the wallpaper menu separate the Clima and Astronomia categories into individual sections. Antes, these options shared a single segment, which now gains independent organization.
- Users on União Europeia receive an overhaul of “Notificações Forwarding”. The feature allows iPhone alerts to appear on third-party smartwatches or other compatible wearables.
These additions complement recent updates, such as relaunching versions for older devices.
Wallpaper and organization adjustments
The changes to wallpapers represent a refinement to the iOS interface. Separating the Clima and Astronomia categories allows more direct access to dynamic options.
Users report that the menu now displays clear sections for each type of live wallpaper. Essa division improves navigation by choosing backgrounds that react to weather conditions or astronomical positions. The change responds to requests for greater clarity in customizing the home and lock screens.
Facilitating migration to Android
The introduction of “Transfer to Android” marks an official tool for those leaving the Apple ecosystem. The feature simplifies the export of essential data when switching devices.
The process includes transferring contacts, messages, photos and videos without the need for third-party apps. Apple developed this option to reduce barriers when migrating between platforms. Testadores highlight native integration as a positive point for users in transition.
Redesigns for European users
In União Europeia, notification forwarding gets an updated version in iOS 26.3. Essa change allows greater compatibility with wearable devices from other brands.
The revamped system sends iPhone alerts to non-Apple smartwatches more efficiently. The functionality responds to regional regulations on interoperability. Usuários Europeans gain flexibility by combining iPhone with third-party accessories.
