Xiaomi reveals Redmi Turbo 5 Max: debuts this month with a focus on performance and large battery

Xiaomi released the first official teaser forRedmi Turbo 5 Max, a new model in the Turbo line that hits the Chinese market in January 2026. The company positions the device as a high-performance option in the premium intermediate segment, with a starting price in the range of 2,500 yuan, equivalent to approximately R$2,000 in direct conversion.

The announcement took place on the official profile of Redmi at Weibo, highlighting that the device will be the fastest and with the longest battery life in this price range for the year 2026.

The Redmi Turbo 5 Max enters a competitive segment, where brands like Honor and Realme compete for space with models focused on performance. The Redmi emphasizes advances in processing speed and battery life, critical areas for users who prioritize gaming and intensive use.

The Xiaomi strategy maintains the Turbo line as a reference in cost-benefit, succeeding the Turbo 4 and Turbo 4 Pro launched the previous year. The new model introduces the “Max” variant, suggesting superior specifications within the family.

Consistent rumors point to a robust technical sheet at Redmi Turbo 5 Max. The device should feature a new generation MediaTek Dimensity processor, with variants such as 9500e or 9500s mentioned in leaks.

The whole family gets upgrades like metal frames and high-quality flat screens. MediaTek plans to reveal the Dimensity 8500 and 9500 chips soon, possibly in line with the launch of the line.

The official teaser uses phrases like “2026 mid-range performance battle” and reinforces the start of sales later this month. The president of Xiaomi’s smartphone division, Lu Weibing, described the Turbo 5 Max as the best choice in the 2,500 yuan range.

Released images show elegant design with an emphasis on construction quality. Mais teasers should appear in the coming days, revealing cameras, gaming performance and other features.
