Onehands-on videoleaked this Tuesday, January 6, 2026, shows what appears to be theSamsung Galaxy S26 Ultrainside its official packaging, reinforcing the expected changes in the design of the Korean brand’s next top of the line. The material, initially shared by reliable sources in the leaks sector, displays a non-functional unit — known as a dummy —, but which faithfully follows the renders and prototypes circulated in recent months.

The box adopts the minimalist style already seen in previous generations, with the silhouette of the device highlighted on the front. Embora the video suggests a real device at first glance, details such as the finish of the camera lenses indicate that it is a fictitious model, used by accessory manufacturers to develop cases and protectors in advance.

Rear design changes

The Galaxy S26 Ultra should ditch the loose individual lens look, adopting a raised pill-shaped module to house three main sensors. The other components, such as the LED flash and an additional lens, are positioned next to this structure.

This change brings the device’s design closer to that seen on the Galaxy Z Fold 7, creating a more unified visual language in the premium Samsung line. The corners of the body are more rounded compared to the S25 Ultra, prioritizing ergonomics without losing the series’ robust identity.

Construction and materials

Rumors indicate that the frame may once again use aluminum instead of titanium, improving heat dissipation. The overall thickness of the device should be thinner, around 7.8 mm, although the new camera module creates a larger protrusion.

Expected Specifications

The Galaxy S26 line does not yet have an official launch date, but an Unpacked event is speculated to take place in February 2026.

  • 6.9-inch 2X AMOLED Dynamic display with 1-120 Hz ratio and advanced privacy feature
  • Platform Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy (with possible Exynos variant in some markets)
  • Up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage
  • Rear cameras: 200 MP main, 50 MP ultrawide, 3x 12 MP telephoto or higher, and 5x 50 MP periscope
  • 5,000 mAh battery with up to 60 W wired and 25 W wireless Qi2 charging
  • IP68 certification and S Pen support

These configurations position the S26 Ultra as one of the most powerful devices of 2026, with a focus on improved photography and AI integration via One UI 8.5.

Other new features in the line

Other recent leaks show dummies of the standard Galaxy S26 and Plus with similar designs, including thinner bezels and the same adapted camera module. The Samsung seeks to balance incremental innovation with refinements that improve everyday use.

The video reinforces that the development of the line is progressing, even if real units are not yet circulating publicly.

Colors and variants

Unique colors should be offered, including shades such as black, white and possibly more vibrant options. The absence of titanium can allow for different finishing variations.

Launch and market

The launch is expected to take place in February 2026, with sales starting shortly after. The strategy aims to compete directly with rivals such as the iPhone 17 Pro and Chinese flagships equipped with new generation chips.
