Nvidia announced DLSS 4.5 at CES 2026, a significant evolution of its artificial intelligence upscaling technology. The new version introduces a second generation transformer model for the Super Resolution and the Multi Frame Generation with a dynamic multiplier of up to 6X. Essas improvements aim to increase image quality and gaming performance for GeForce RTX cards.

The announcement took place during the company’s presentation at Las Vegas, without revealing new video cards. The update is now available for Super Resolution on all supported RTX through NVIDIA App. Full dynamic frame generation capability arrives in spring 2026, initially for the RTX 50 series.

More than 400 games currently support DLSS Super Resolution. Outros 250 titles have Multi Frame Generation.

  • Reduced artifacts in fast-moving objects.
  • Greater clarity in light details and particles.
  • Improved clarity of interfaces in demanding games.
  • Optimized support for high refresh rate displays.

Improvements to the second generation transformer model

DLSS 4.5 uses a second-generation transformer trained with greater data volume and computational power. Esse feed results in more accurate scaling, especially in Desempenho and Ultra Desempenho modes. The technology reduces ghosting around moving elements and improves the rendering of small light sources.

Nvidia highlights that Desempenho mode now delivers quality equivalent to or greater than native 4K resolution. Essas changes benefit games with full ray tracing and intense graphics settings.

Advances in Multi Frame Generation 6X

Frame generation receives a major upgrade with 6X mode. Ele produces up to five additional frames per traditionally rendered frame, increasing performance by up to six times. The dynamic system adjusts the multiplier according to the GPU load.

In complex scenes, the multiplier increases to maintain fluidity. In less demanding moments, it reduces to preserve stability. Essa approach optimizes for use on 4K displays with 240 Hz or more.

The feature allows fluid gameplay in titles with path tracing enabled. The Nvidia demonstrates high performance at high resolutions without compromising responsiveness.

Benefits for different modes of use

Users notice significant gains in balanced and maximum performance modes. The technology fixes previous clarity issues in interface elements. Jogos like The Outer Worlds 2 exhibit noticeable improvements in this area.

The update is accessible via DLSS Override on NVIDIA App. Desenvolvedores integrates DLSS 4.5 into existing and future titles without the need for extensive patches.

Application in games with full ray tracing

DLSS 4.5 makes it easier to run ray tracing at high settings. Combinado with advanced monitors, it enables high frame rates in 4K. Nvidia positions technology as essential for today’s immersive experiences.

The Dynamic Multi Frame Generation automatically adapts to the demands of the game. Isso ensures consistency across varied scenarios, from exploration to intense combat.

The company expands support to more than 250 games with frame generation. Outros 400 titles receive the enhanced Super Resolution immediately.

Integration with RTX 50 Series hardware

The RTX 50 series receives initial exclusivity for the dynamic Multi Frame Generation 6X. Previous Placas maintain compatibility with updated Super Resolution. The second generation transformer operates on all supported RTX generations.

This strategy expands the scope of quality improvements. Usuários of older hardware access immediate gains in sharpness and artifact reduction.

Availability and practical activation

DLSS 4.5’s Super Resolution can now be enabled by the latest NVIDIA App. The Overdrive feature forces the new version in supported games. Drivers Game Ready follow the release for further optimization.

Nvidia plans continued expansion of the DLSS ecosystem. Novos titles announced at CES have incorporated the technology since launch.

Expanding the DLSS ecosystem

More than 650 games and applications currently use some form of DLSS. Version 4.5 accelerates adoption in graphics-rich productions. Desenvolvedores benefit from simplified tools for implementation.

The technology has evolved since its introduction, focusing on AI-generated image quality. Cada iteration reduces differences from native rendering.

The announcement reinforces Nvidia’s commitment to software improvements. Atualizações like this extend the life of existing hardware.

The combination of Super Resolution and dynamic frame generation positions DLSS 4.5 as the benchmark for AI-accelerated performance. Jogadores access premium experiences on varying hardware configurations.
