The Toyota officially began pre-sales of the long-awaited Yaris Cross in the national market, marking the automaker’s entry into one of the most competitive segments today. The new compact SUV arrives with the mission of strengthening the brand’s presence, strategically positioning itself between the Yaris hatch and the successful Corolla Cross, offering a modern and technological alternative to consumers.
The model will be available in four different versions, with two engine options, including the acclaimed flex hybrid technology of the Toyota. The price range was established between R$161,390, for the entry-level version with a combustion engine, and R$189,990 for the top-of-the-line configuration equipped with the hybrid system, seeking to cover different customer profiles within the category.
Production of the Yaris Cross will be concentrated at the Toyota factory in Sorocaba, inside São Paulo, a unit that received investments to adapt to the new TNGA-B platform. The Japanese automaker confirmed that the first units of the vehicle will begin to be delivered to buyers from February next year, aligning the launch schedule with the high demand expected for the new sports utility vehicle.

The range structure of the new Yaris Cross was designed to offer a good balance between cost and benefit. The entry options are equipped with the 1.5 flex aspirated engine. At the top of the line, the XRX Hybrid version is sold for R$ 189,990, adding all the equipment available for the model. Toyota also informed that special colors may have an additional cost, increasing the value of the most complete version to R$193,320, offering a range of customization to the customer.
The fifth generation hybrid engine
The main technical difference of the Toyota Yaris Cross is, without a doubt, its fifth generation hybrid system, which combines a 1.5 three-cylinder combustion engine with two electric motors.
