A new mid-range smartphone from Samsung has had its first official details revealed. The Galaxy A57 was listed in the TENAA database, the regulatory agency for the China, anticipating important specifications such as its processor, dimensions and charging capacity. The document serves as a strong indication that the launch of the device is close, raising expectations for the mid-range segment.

The information confirms that the device will be equipped with the Exynos 1680 chipset, a new effort by the manufacturer to balance performance and energy efficiency. Além Furthermore, the certification highlights a significant advance in recharge speed, which jumps to 45 W, a feature normally associated with the brand’s more expensive models.

Another highlight is the change in design. The Galaxy A57 features a thinner and lighter structure compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy A56, suggesting a focus by the Samsung on improving ergonomics and portability without sacrificing battery capacity, which remains at 5,000 mAh.

A new standard of design and portability

TENAA documentation details the exact dimensions of the Galaxy A57, recording 161.5mm tall, 76.8mm wide and just 6.9mm thick, with a total weight of 182 grams. Esses numbers represent a notable reduction compared to the previous model, which measured 7.4 mm thick and weighed 198 grams. Essa optimization of 0.5 mm in thickness and 16 grams less in total weight reflects an industry trend towards devices that are more comfortable for continuous use and more practical for daily transport. Apesar of the thinnest structure, the device is expected to maintain the robustness characteristic of the line, including IP67 certification, which guarantees resistance against dust and immersion in water, offering greater durability and safety for the user in different environments. The look should follow the identity of the Galaxy family, with thin edges and a hole centered on the screen for the front camera, maximizing the use of the front panel.

Improved performance with the Exynos 1680

The heart of the Galaxy A57 will be the new Exynos 1680 processor, an eight-core chipset manufactured using modern 4 nanometer technology. With a maximum frequency that can reach up to 2.9 GHz, it promises to deliver agile performance for everyday tasks and breathability for more demanding applications. The integrated graphics unit is the Xclipse 550 GPU, developed based on AMD’s RDNA architecture, which indicates a considerable leap in graphics performance, mainly benefiting games and the reproduction of high definition content.

To complement the processor, the device will be offered in multiple memory configurations. The variants listed include options with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM memory, ensuring a fluid and stutter-free multitasking experience. When it comes to internal storage, consumers will be able to choose between 128 GB and 256 GB, with the possibility of expansion via microSD card in selected markets, offering plenty of space for applications, photos and videos.

Versatile camera setup

The Galaxy A57’s photography suite is designed for versatility. On the back, the triple system is led by a 50-megapixel main sensor, which features optical image stabilization (OIS) to capture sharper photos and more stable videos, especially in low-light conditions.

Accompanying the main sensor is an ultrawide lens, which, depending on the region of sale, will have a 12 MP or 13 MP sensor, ideal for recording wide landscapes or group photos. The set is completed by a 5 MP macro camera, dedicated to capturing details in close objects.

On the front, a 12 megapixel camera, housed in a discreet hole in the screen, will be responsible for selfies and video calls. The processing power of the new Exynos chip should improve image post-processing, resulting in photos with more accurate colors and better dynamic range.

Super AMOLED screen with high fluidity

The visual experience of the Galaxy A57 will be provided by a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. Esse panel is known for delivering vibrant colors, deep blacks and an excellent level of contrast, making it ideal for consuming films, series and games.

One of the display’s biggest attractions is the 120 Hz refresh rate, which provides smoother and more fluid navigation through the system interfaces and compatible applications. Essa characteristic is also an important differentiator in games, where greater responsiveness can guarantee a competitive advantage.

For security, the smartphone has a fingerprint reader integrated under the screen, offering a quick and secure unlocking method. Panel protection is guaranteed by Gorilla Glass Victus+ technology, which increases resistance against scratches and drops.

The multimedia experience is complemented by stereo speakers, which provide more immersive audio, and support for technologies such as HDR, which improve image quality in compatible content.

Battery and fast charging

The autonomy of the Galaxy A57 will be guaranteed by a battery with a capacity of 5,000 mAh. Combinada with the energy efficiency of the Exynos 1680 processor, the expectation is that the device will be able to offer a full day of moderate to intense use without the need for a recharge.

When it is necessary to connect the device to an outlet, support for 45 W fast charging stands out as one of the main advances. Essa power allows the battery to be recharged significantly faster than in previous generations, being able to reach a considerable percentage of charge in a few minutes.

Connectivity and additional features

The Galaxy A57 arrives prepared for the latest connection technologies. The device offers full support for 5G networks, in addition to Wi-Fi 6E for faster and more stable browsing on compatible wireless networks, and Bluetooth 5.4 for an efficient connection with headphones and other accessories.

The presence of NFC technology is also confirmed, allowing contactless payments to be made in a practical and safe way.

Market positioning

With a balanced set of specifications, the Galaxy A57 positions itself as a strong competitor in the competitive mid-range smartphone market. The combination of a more refined design, solid performance, versatile cameras and, most importantly, 45 W fast charging, should attract consumers looking for a complete device without investing in a high-end model. Samsung seeks to reinforce its leadership in the segment, offering premium features at a more affordable price range.
