The national automotive market welcomes a new competitor in the hybrid SUV segment with the official arrival of the Jetour S06 PHEV. The brand, which is part of the Chery group, begins its operations in the country with an aggressive proposal, positioning the model with a launch price of R$199,900, a value that places it in a competitive range compared to its main competitors.
The vehicle will be sold in two different versions to cater to different consumer profiles. The entry-level configuration, called Advance, has a suggested public price of R$199,900, while the top-of-the-line version, the Premium, hits the market for R$229,900, adding more technology and comfort items.
The introduction of the S06 PHEV is part of a broader expansion strategy from Jetour into Brasil. The company plans to establish a robust dealership network and has already signaled plans for local vehicle production in the coming years, demonstrating a long-term commitment to the Brazilian market.
Hybrid system performance and powertrain
The Jetour S06 PHEV is equipped with an advanced plug-in hybrid propulsion system that combines an internal combustion engine with an electric drive to deliver performance and efficiency. The gasoline engine is a 1.5 four-cylinder turbo, capable of generating 135 horsepower. Ele works in conjunction with an electric motor that adds 203 horsepower to the system. The combined power of the two engines reaches an impressive 315 horsepower, while the total torque reaches 52 kgfm, figures that guarantee agile responses and safe overtaking. This force is managed by a DHT (Dedicated Hybrid Transmission) type transmission, specifically designed to optimize power delivery and fuel consumption in hybrid vehicles. Graças to this package, the SUV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.8 seconds, a remarkable performance for a vehicle of its size. The system calibration was designed to offer a smooth and comfortable drive, prioritizing silence on board and linear power delivery, whether in an urban environment or on highways.
Autonomy and energy efficiency
One of the main attractions of the Jetour S06 PHEV is its ability to run in pure electric mode. The model is equipped with a 19.4 kWh battery pack, which provides a range of up to 70 kilometers without the need to run the combustion engine. Essa feature allows most daily trips, such as going to work or taking children to school, to be done without using a drop of fuel, resulting in significant savings for the owner.
When it comes to charging, the SUV offers flexibility. Ele is compatible with direct current (DC) fast chargers, with power of up to 40 kW, allowing the recovery of a large part of the charge in a short time. Para domestic use or at public alternating current (AC) charging points, the maximum supported power is 6.6 kW. The efficiency of the hybrid system is proven by data from the Programa Brasileiro of Etiquetagem Veicular (PBEV), which measured an average consumption of 36.2 km/l, considering the combined use of the two engines.
Optimized dimensions and internal space
The design of the Jetour S06 PHEV was conceived to combine modern aesthetics and functionality, with dimensions that guarantee good internal space for occupants. The SUV measures 4.61 meters long, 1.91 meters wide and 1.69 meters high, with a wheelbase of 2.72 meters. Essas measurements translate into a comfortable interior environment, with generous leg and shoulder space for both front and rear seat passengers.
The trunk capacity is 416 liters, a volume suitable for accommodating a family’s luggage on trips or everyday purchases. The use of space was carefully planned to maximize practicality without compromising passenger comfort, making the S06 PHEV a versatile option for different usage needs.

Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Monitoring are especially useful in heavy traffic situations or when backing out of parking spaces, providing audible and visual alerts to the driver about approaching other vehicles.

The electrical system, including the engine and battery pack, is covered for 8 years or 160,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. For the other components of the vehicle, the warranty is 7 years or 150,000 kilometers, demonstrating the brand’s commitment to the durability and construction quality of the S06 PHEV.
Jetour strategy for the national market
The arrival of Jetour to Brasil is marked by a robust and well-structured implementation strategy. The company’s goal is to open a network of around 100 dealerships across the country by the end of the current year. Essa capillarity is essential to guarantee not only the sale of vehicles, but also an efficient and accessible after-sales service for customers.
In addition to expanding the network, the brand has already confirmed its investment plans in local production. The expectation is that a factory will be installed in the country to begin assembling vehicles between the end of 2026 and the beginning of 2027.
