Stellantis has officially confirmed that the next generation of the Jeep Renegade will be launched in 2027, with exclusive production at the Goiana factory in Pernambuco. The compact SUV will undergo a complete redesign, adopting the modern STLA Small platform, which will allow the integration of mild hybrid engines and a fully electric version, in addition to optimizing internal space without significantly changing its external dimensions.
Modern structure and renewed design
The main structural change will be the replacement of the Small Wide 4×4 base with the STLA Small architecture, an evolution of the CMP platform. Essa new base is designed to improve habitability, especially for rear seat passengers, and expand trunk capacity, correcting critical points of the current model. The length must be maintained at around 4.26 meters, preserving its urban agility.
In terms of appearance, the new Renegade will draw inspiration from the electric Jeep Recon, adopting squarer lines and a retro style. The traditional seven-slot front grille will be maintained, but will receive a modern treatment with LED lighting, following the visual identity of the brand’s recent launches, such as the Compass.
Engine options for the future
The big news of the 2027 generation will be the diversity of engines. Está a 100% electric version is planned with an engine of approximately 240 horsepower and an estimated range of 480 km in the WLTP cycle. Technology and safety on board
The STLA Small platform will enable a significant technological leap. The most complete versions of the new Renegade will come equipped with an advanced driver assistance package, including forward collision warning and autonomous emergency braking. Connectivity will be improved with a 10.1-inch multimedia center and fully digital instrument panel, with support for remote updates (over-the-air).
The electric model will also benefit from an 80 kW fast charging system, capable of recovering 80% of the battery charge in approximately 30 minutes, which will facilitate use on longer journeys.
