The distribution of Apple’s latest software package for its mobile devices has generated a significant wave of complaints from consumers on a global scale. Usuários who migrated to the new version of the operating system report that, instead of the promised security improvements, they found a series of technical flaws that compromise the daily usability of the devices.

Specialized forums and social networks were flooded with detailed descriptions of the erratic behavior of smartphones after installing the update. The situation generated an alert in the technology community, with experts recommending immediate caution for those who have not yet carried out the update procedure on their phones.

Severe impact on power range and performance

The most critical problem pointed out by iPhone owners refers to the drastic reduction in battery life. Consistent Relatos indicate that devices are losing more than half of their charge in a few hours, even when used moderately or kept in standby mode, which forces users to constantly recharge throughout the day.

In addition to the energy issue, the overall performance of the system suffered noticeable degradation. Abertura of slow applications, interface crashes and random restarts have become frequent. Tarefas that were previously executed smoothly now show delays, suggesting inadequate optimization of the software with the hardware, including in recent models.

Instability in connections and storage failure

Wireless connectivity was also affected by the update, hampering internet access and the use of peripherals. Usuários describe constant drops in Wi-Fi and mobile data signals, making browsing, streaming, and communication difficult. The issue extends to Bluetooth, creating barriers to pairing with headphones and smart watches.

Another serious anomaly identified is an error in internal storage management. The operating system has been unduly taking up tens of gigabytes of space, preventing users from saving new photos, videos or installing applications. Essa memory allocation failure has forced some consumers to take drastic measures, such as completely restoring the device.

Difficulties with Face ID and affected models

The company’s facial recognition system, used to unlock and authenticate payments, also shows slowness and recognition failures. The need to manually enter passwords has become commonplace, reducing the convenience and speed that are hallmarks of the brand ecosystem.

Although the failures affect a wide range of devices, newer models, such as the iPhone 17 line Pro and Pro Max, seem to suffer more intensely from heating and battery consumption. Diante the impossibility of returning to the previous version safely, the current recommendation is to wait for an official correction from the manufacturer.
