The administrators of the popular mobile RPG Fate/Grand Order have officially announced a major revision to the compatibility criteria for users of Apple devices. From mid-March onwards, the app will no longer work on devices running versions prior to iOS 15.0. The technical decision aims to align the software with the new App Store guidelines, scheduled to come into force in April 2026, ensuring continuity of support and application security.

Users using the iOS 13.2 operating system or lower versions, which were previously supported, will face the inability to log in or access the game servers after the measure is implemented. The development team emphasizes the need for immediate device verification to avoid losing access to exclusive events and content during the transition period.

New compatibility criteria for Apple devices

The update to the minimum requirements directly impacts a portion of the player base that uses older hardware. Modelos like iPhone 6 and previous generations, which do not have official Apple support for iOS 15.0, will become incompatible with the title. On the other hand, owners of iPhone 6s, later models, seventh generation iPod touch and recent iPads will be able to continue playing normally, as long as they perform the software update.

The structural change allows developers to use more modern APIs, resulting in better memory management and reduced crashes in battles with many visual effects. The overall stability of the application should be significantly increased by taking advantage of the security fixes and performance optimizations native to the latest versions of the Apple operating system.

Recommended procedures to avoid blockages

To ensure that the migration occurs without data loss or service interruptions, the game operator has listed a series of practical recommendations. It is essential that players act preventively before the date set for the change in servers.

  • Check the installed version by going to “Settings”, then “General” and “About” on the device.
  • Perform a complete backup of your game and device data in the cloud or on a computer.
  • Make sure you have enough storage space to download and install iOS 15.0 or higher.
  • Please use a stable Wi-Fi connection during the system update process to avoid file corruption.

Deadlines and guidelines for the community

The statement, issued on February 20, offers a window of time for all users to adapt to the new requirements. The company emphasizes that beta versions of iOS are not officially supported and may be unstable, recommending the use of only final, stable versions of the system.

If your current device does not support the necessary update, the only alternative to maintaining access to your account is to migrate to a compatible device. Official game support remains available to answer specific questions about transferring accounts and preserving accumulated progress.
