Shooting incident in Fukuyama results in man’s death; investigation advances

A shocking incident shook the tranquility of Kawaguchicho, in Fukuyama, Hiroshima province, in the early hours of March 4. Moradores alerted authorities around 4:20 a.m., reporting a heated argument at a local residence.

The situation escalated quickly. Policiais who went to the location heard gunshots coming from inside the house about ten minutes after their arrival, around 4:30 in the morning, confirming the seriousness of the scenario.

Inside the residence, a man aged approximately 40 was found dead, with a head wound and what appeared to be a firearm nearby, indicating a tragic outcome.

The deceased individual, whose identity has not yet been officially released, was found in one of the bedrooms of the house. Authorities are now focusing on determining the exact cause of death and the role of the weapon found at the scene.
