The Mitsubishi Motors officially launched a new electrified variant for the sports utility vehicle market, introducing the Xforce HEV with a focus on energy efficiency and adaptation to different terrains. The model, which initially arrives at Tailândia dealerships, represents a strategic bet by the automaker to compete in the fierce compact SUV segment, facing strong rivals with a renewed mechanical set. The brand’s main promise lies in fuel economy, achieved through the new proprietary hybrid system.
The heart of this new vehicle is the e-Motion system, which combines a 1.6-liter combustion engine with a high-efficiency electric motor, designed to offer fast responses and linear torque. Segundo data released by the manufacturer, this configuration allows the SUV to achieve an impressive average consumption, surpassing the 24 kilometers per liter mark in ideal driving conditions. Essa performance positions the model as one of the most economical options in its category, meeting the growing demand for vehicles that reduce the carbon footprint without sacrificing autonomy.
Driving technology and dynamic modes
To ensure versatility in different driving conditions, Mitsubishi engineering equipped the Xforce hybrid with seven different driving modes, developed specifically to deal with the climatic and geographical variations of the Asian region. The system allows the driver to select optimized settings for situations such as gravel, mud, wet asphalt and slippery surfaces, adjusting power delivery and the performance of stability controls.
One of the technical highlights is the inclusion of Controle Ativo of Guinada (AYC), a technology derived from the brand’s rally heritage, which distributes torque between the front wheels to improve cornering and stability in sudden maneuvers. Além In addition, the vehicle has a robust set of driving assistants (ADAS), providing active safety through constant traffic monitoring and autonomous interventions when necessary to avoid collisions.
Internal comfort and market differences
Inside, the focus on user experience is evident through the digitalization of the dashboard, which integrates a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with an 8-inch digital instrument cluster in a monolithic arrangement. The partnership with Yamaha resulted in an exclusive premium sound system, developed to offer superior acoustic clarity, dynamically adjusting according to the vehicle’s speed and the selected driving mode.
To reinforce confidence in the new propulsion technology, the automaker announced a 10-year extended warranty for the hybrid system’s battery, an aggressive strategy to attract consumers who are still hesitant about the transition to electrified vehicles. With competitive prices in the local market, the Xforce HEV seeks to consolidate the brand’s position in emerging markets, offering a package that balances mechanical robustness with technological refinement.
