NVIDIA announced that the Dynamic Multi Frame Generation (MFG) 6X mode of DLSS 4.5 will be released on March 31 for users of the GeForce RTX 50 series. The update allows you to generate up to six times more frames via AI, increasing fluidity in high resolutions such as 4K, especially in games with path tracing. The technology arrives via beta opt-in in the NVIDIA application and focuses on high refresh rate monitors, keeping the frame rate aligned with the display’s refresh rate.

The Dynamic MFG feature automatically adjusts multipliers from 1x to 6x to achieve the user’s desired frame rate. Isso benefits AAA games that demand high performance, reducing FPS drops in complex scenes. NVIDIA highlighted that 6X mode offers gains of up to 33% in performance in titles like Black Myth: Wukong with maximum settings and ray tracing enabled. Embora There is a slight increase in latency of 10% to 15%, the overall experience remains smoother with NVIDIA Reflex minimizing impacts.

MFG 6X Mode Launching March 31

The release takes place on March 31st as part of an opt-in beta in the NVIDIA app. Usuários from RTX 50 Series need to access the settings and opt for the beta version to test the DLSS 4.5 overrides. A full official release will come at a later date.

The mode allows manual setting of target frame rate or selection of fixed multiplier. Transições between modes such as 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x and 6x occur fluidly without noticeable slowdowns.

Players with monitors above 240Hz benefit most, as the dynamic system maintains stability even with variations in graphical load.

Benefits for 4K Gaming and High Refresh Rates

The MFG 6X elevates performance at demanding resolutions. In demonstrated tests, path-traced titles achieve high frame rates without compromising visual detail. Combining with DLSS Super Resolution improves overall image quality.

360Hz or higher monitors make the most of maximum mode. Most AAA games use 3x or 4x for 240Hz, reserving 6X for premium setups.

NVIDIA emphasizes that the feature maintains frame synchronization and reduces artifacts, improving immersion in scenes with complex lighting.

Games that support DLSS 4.5 and path tracing

Several titles integrate DLSS 4.5 with path tracing for more accurate shadows and lighting. 007 First Light arrives on May 27th with full path tracing and DLSS 4.5, displaying realistic reflections and defined shadows in varied environments.

Control Resonant gets an update this year with path tracing, making reflections on surfaces such as puddles and vehicles more faithful to reality. Indirect lighting adds depth to urban scenes.

Tides of Annihilation also adopts path tracing with DLSS 4.5, improving overall visual effects at launch.
