Hitachi launches Shirokuma-kun E air conditioning with 8 models that meet savings for 2027
Bosch Home Comfort Japan announced the launch of the Shirokuma-kun E series of residential air conditioners from Hitachi, with eight models that fully comply with the revised energy saving standards for 2027 in Japão. The line hits the market on April 27th and covers cooling capacities from 2.2 kW to 7.1 kW, serving different sizes of residential environments. The appliances combine high energy efficiency with cleaning and comfort functions already proven in previous models of the brand.
The new series maintains a focus on technologies that ensure cleaner air and comfortable operation, incorporating features such as automatic freeze cleaning and internal drying. Design prioritizes harmonious integration with home environments, while performance meets Japão’s stringent environmental goals.
Launch of the new basic line
The Shirokuma-kun E series represents the entry-level option of the Hitachi for residential air conditioners. Todos all eight models meet the energy efficiency requirements established for fiscal year 2027, which will be mandatory in Japão. Availability begins on April 27, with powers ranging from 2.2 kW to 7.1 kW to suit apartments and houses of different sizes.
Single-phase 100V appliances include capacities of 2.2 kW (RAS-ER2226S), 2.5 kW (RAS-ER2526S), 2.8 kW (RAS-ER2826S), and 3.6 kW (RAS-ER3626S). Já os de 200V abrangem 4,0 kW (RAS-ER4026D), 5,6 kW (RAS-ER5626D), 6,3 kW (RAS-ER6326D) e 7,1 kW (RAS-ER7126D). Essa variety allows for an appropriate choice depending on the area of the room and the available electrical infrastructure.
Automatic cleaning functions
Freeze cleaning stands out in the series. The indoor unit applies Limpeza by Congelamento Leve, while the outdoor unit uses Limpeza by Congelamento, removing dirt from heat exchangers automatically after cooling or dehumidification operations. The process freezes moisture and debris, making it easy to remove without manual intervention.
After use, the fan operates for approximately two hours to dry the interior of the unit, in function Secagem Interna with Ventilador. Essa action reduces the risk of mold and unwanted odors. The Stainless Clean technology applies stainless steel to the air vents and internal fins, areas prone to dirt accumulation.
The stainless steel filter has a finer and flatter mesh than conventional filters. Ele captures fine fibers, dust and other particles more effectively. Essas features keep circulating air cleaner over time.
Features for greater comfort
Air flow control allows continuous or fixed movement of the louvers up/down and louvers left/right via remote control. Users adjust the direction as needed, distributing the air evenly throughout the room.
The Sleep Watch timer turns off the device after a programmed period, reducing noise during sleep. The Eco Only button activates a mode that balances comfort and energy consumption according to the environmental conditions detected.
The automatic pre-season check tests operation before the summer, identifying potential problems in advance. The external design of the internal unit follows the concept of waves created by the air, with a rounded shape that better integrates into residential spaces.
Design and practical operation
The exterior adopts soft, rounded lines to harmonize with modern decor. The series prioritizes simplicity and functionality, without giving up advanced maintenance and savings features.
Compliance with 2027 standards reinforces Hitachi’s commitment to reducing energy consumption on a large scale. Models incorporate legacy technologies proven to improve indoor air quality and everyday comfort.
The Shirokuma-kun E line meets demands for efficient and easy-maintenance devices in the Japanese market. Availability from April expands options for consumers looking for a balance between performance and cost.
