Huawei announced Pura X Max this Monday. The foldable smartphone adopts a wide horizontal format and hits the Chinese market from April 25th.
The internal screen measures 7.7 inches with a resolution of 2584 x 1828 pixels. The device weighs around 229 grams and is just 11.2 mm thick when folded. Quando opened, the thickness drops to 5.2 mm. The outer cover features a 5.4-inch screen. Ambas support variable refresh rate between 1 Hz and 120 Hz with PWM dimming of 1440 Hz.
Wide Design redefines foldable usage
The Pura X Max stands out for its wide format. The width reaches 85 mm when closed and 166.5 mm when opened. Essa aspect ratio facilitates multitasking and split-screen reading.
The device maintains good usability even when closed thanks to the 5.4-inch external screen with 1848 x 1264 pixel resolution. Usuários can navigate, respond to messages or consult maps without having to unfold the device all the time.
The construction includes second-generation Kunlun glass on the outer screen and UTG on the inner screen. The set is IP58/IP59 certified against water and dust.

Desempenho advances with new processor
Kirin 9030 Pro equips Pura X Max. The Huawei claims a 30% gain in overall performance compared to the previous model in the line.
Configurações starts with 12 GB of RAM with 256 GB of storage. Opções has up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB in the Collector’s edition. The system runs HarmonyOS 6.1.
Testes initials indicate fluidity in demanding applications and good power management. The 5300 mAh battery supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.
Câmeras gain variable opening
The rear set includes a 50 MP main lens with adjustable aperture from f/1.4 to f/4.0 and optical stabilization. A 50MP periscopic telephoto lens offers 3.5x optical zoom. The ultra wide angle is 12.5 MP.
Todas cameras use RYYB color filter and second generation Red Maple sensor. The variable aperture allows more light in dark environments and greater clarity in bright scenes.
Câmera front measures 8 MP. The system prioritizes image quality in different lighting conditions without relying solely on digital processing.
Preços and initial availability
The base 12GB + 256GB model costs 10,999 yuan. The 16GB + 1TB version in the Collector’s edition costs 13,999 yuan.
Lançamento takes place at China on April 25th. Global Vendas does not yet have a confirmed date.
The Pura X Max also supports the M-Pen 3 Mini stylus, sold separately. The accessory carries inside a compatible case and makes it easier to take notes or draw on the large screen.
