BYD Song Pro received significant update in China. The plug-in hybrid SUV now offers larger battery options that increase electric range and combined consumption. The top-of-the-line version achieves an average of 31.25 km/l in the Chinese cycle.
The automaker positions the model as Flying Edition with prices starting at around R$75,000 in direct conversion. No Brasil, the Song Pro should receive visual restyling and flex engine in 2026.
Larger Bateria increases electric range
The main change is in the Blade battery pack. The model now has 26.6 kWh and 34.27 kWh options. The largest configuration delivers up to 301 km in pure electric mode via the CLTC cycle.
The 1.5 combustion engine maintains 101 hp. Ele works together with the 163 hp front electric. Combined power is around 235 hp in the most equipped versions. Mixed consumption reaches 3.2 liters per 100 km in Chinese conditions.
- 26.6 kWh Bateria allows up to 220 km in electric mode
- 34.27 kWh Bateria reaches 301 km in electric mode
- Consumo combined 31.25 km/l in the most efficient configuration
- Total Autonomia can overcome 1,900 km on a full tank
Essa evolution responds to Song Pro’s loss of space in the Chinese sales ranking. BYD responded with a direct focus on the user’s daily efficiency.
Preços and China attract market attention
The BYD Song Pro DM-i Flying Edition 301 km Excelent version costs 132,900 yuan. Isso is equivalent to around R$97 thousand in direct conversion, without taxes. The other configurations start at 102,900 yuan.
The God’s Eye Nível C ADAS package comes standard. Ele enables advanced cruise control on highways. The optional Nível B adds support on urban roads and parking maneuvers for 9,900 yuan, or R$7,200.

The Chinese update is not expected to reach the country immediately. Mesmo Thus, BYD plans two important changes for the second half of 2026. The first involves a new front design with narrower headlights and a chrome bar. The rear gets a renewed bumper.
The second is the flex engine. The Song Pro will be the brand’s first hybrid in the Brasil capable of running on ethanol. The adaptation was developed locally and should debut alongside the facelift.
Tecnologia ADAS advances Flying Edition package
The God’s Eye system allows assisted driving in different scenarios. In the basic version, the focus is on highways. The option expands to urban environments with assistance in maneuvering.
Essa technology positions the Song Pro as the most complete option within the China affordable hybrid segment. The model competes directly with rivals from brands such as Geely and Toyota.
What changes for the Brazilian consumer
National production of Song Pro takes place in Camaçari, in Bahia. The arrival of the Dragon Face look and the flex option should strengthen the SUV’s position in the hybrid rankings. Hoje is among the best sellers in the category.
Especialistas monitors the impact on gas stations. Maior efficiency reduces dependence on gasoline or ethanol on daily journeys. The possibility of driving more kilometers in electric mode attracts those looking for savings.
Pricing on Brasil has not yet been set for the new versions. The current GL and GS cost around R$190,000 to R$200,000. The expectation is that the facelift will maintain a competitive position.
