Chinese brand Baic announces debut in the country with Arcfox T1 electric hatch

Chinese automaker Baic plans to start operations on the Brasil in 2026. The company is expected to bring at least three electric models in the second half of the year, with emphasis on the Arcfox T1 hatch. The Arcfox T1 belongs to the Arcfox sub-brand of Baic. Ele is positioned as a direct competitor to the Dolphin, with larger dimensions in length and wheelbase. The strategy is part of the wave of new Chinese brands seeking space in the yellow-green market for electrified vehicles.

Arcfox T1 has a generous size for the segment

The model measures 4.34 meters long, 1.86 meters wide, 1.57 meters high and has a wheelbase of 2.77 meters. Esses numbers surpass those of the BYD Dolphin in internal space. The longer wheelbase promises greater comfort for rear occupants.

The design follows modern lines typical of Chinese trams. The interior features a minimalist panel, with almost no physical buttons, and a 15.6-inch floating central screen. In the Chinese CLTC cycle, autonomy reaches up to 400 or 425 km, depending on the version and configuration chosen.
