BYD factory in Bahia starts hiring to operate 24 hours a day

Chinese automaker Build Your Dreams (BYD) opened 1,654 job vacancies at the unit installed in Camaçari. The hires are part of the implementation of the third production shift in the Região Metropolitana and Salvador industrial complex. The factory will start operating 24 hours a day from July.

The measure seeks to increase the production capacity of the Bahian plant. With this, the company intends to accelerate the delivery of vehicles to the national market. The announcement took place this Monday.

Terceiro shift expands continuous operation in the unit

The third shift will allow the complex to operate without interruption. Current production operates in two shifts. The change represents a step in the expansion of the factory opened to manufacture electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Funcionários will work in different areas of the assembly line. BYD has already advanced in the nationalization of components. The objective includes meeting the growing demand for more sustainable models in the country.
