Xiaomi 18 will have 200 MP cameras and 7,000 mAh battery, sources reveal
The Xiaomi 18 will hit the market with two 200-megapixel rear cameras and a 7,000 milliampere-hour battery. The information was revealed by sources with access behind the scenes at the Chinese manufacturer and shared by leaker Digital Chat Station, who has been following the development of Xiaomi devices for years.
The device, expected for the second half of 2026, will use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor, a 2 nanometer chip that promises superior performance to current models. The hardware combination points to a smartphone positioned as the brand’s premium flagship.
Compact Design with 6.3-inch screen

The Xiaomi 18 must maintain lean dimensions thanks to a design that prioritizes compactness without sacrificing the display diagonal. The screen will be 6.3 inches with LIPO technology on the edges, reducing thickness and weight compared to its predecessors.
The 7,000 mAh battery represents a significant advance in capacity. Fast charging will reach 100 watts, allowing a full recharge in a few minutes. Essa configuration positions the model among the best in autonomy within the flagship segment.
The display will be OLED with 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. Essas specifications guarantee vibrant colors and fluidity in browsing and games, a standard expected in today’s premium devices.
Camera Sistema focuses on resolution
The Xiaomi 18 will feature three rear cameras. The configuration includes a main lens with a 200 megapixel sensor, a 50 megapixel ultrawide lens and a 200 megapixel telephoto lens. The front will have 50 megapixels for high quality videos and calls.
Duas 200MP cameras enable detailed capture in both wide shots and robust optical zoom. The 50-megapixel ultrawide sensor reduces cost without compromising quality for wide-area photos.
- Main Câmera: 200 MP
- Ultrawide: 50 MP
- Telefoto: 200MP
- Frontal: 50 MP
Essa architecture follows the market trend of concentrating resolution on the main lenses, leaving the ultrawide with a more modest specification. Xiaomi used a similar strategy on previous flagships with positive results.
Memória and three-tier storage
The device will offer 12 gigabytes or 16 gigabytes of RAM, with three storage options: 256 gigabytes, 512 gigabytes or 1 terabyte. Essa range caters from users with basic needs to professionals who need to store large volumes of data.
The 12 GB RAM memory covers current multitasking and gaming demands with comfort. The 16 GB version is positioned for extreme users. Quanto storage, the 1 TB option allows you to store an entire library of photos, videos and applications without resorting to the cloud.
HyperOS 4 and full connectivity
The operating system will be Android 17 under HyperOS 4.0, Xiaomi’s customized interface that optimizes the user experience. The brand has invested in software refinement to accompany powerful hardware.
Conectividade includes 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. The device will be IP68 certified, resisting immersion in fresh water up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes. Essas certifications protect the user’s investment in accident situations.
Incerteza between standard versions and Pro
Informações leaks do not clarify whether these specifications belong solely to the standard Xiaomi 18 or whether they will also be present in the Pro 18 model. Historicamente, Xiaomi launches premium version with improvements in cameras, image processing or screen.
The vagueness occurs because the data comes from early stages of development. Early-stage Protótiposs often share components that will be distributed across standard and premium lines following final engineering decisions.
In any case, the Xiaomi continues to work simultaneously on three fronts: the Xiaomi 18 series, the HyperOS 4 operating system and a proprietary chipset under development. Essas parallel initiatives demonstrate the manufacturer’s commitment to maintaining competitiveness with global competitors that have their own chips.
