CAOA Chery registered 7,371 retail units. The volume corresponds to 6.3% share and placed the brand in sixth position. Hyundai came next, with 7,114 units and 6.1%. Honda closed the group with 6,542 units and 5.6%.
The proximity between CAOA Chery, Hyundai and Honda indicated greater pressure on already consolidated brands. CAOA Chery expanded its presence month by month in the channel that prioritizes the end consumer. Modelos like the Tiggo 5X contributed to performance throughout the year.
The advance occurred in a month of transition for the sector. Vendas in retail fell 4.5% compared to March, but grew 17.3% compared to April of the previous year.
Equilíbrio marks consumer behavior
The top of the ranking was concentrated. Nenhuma brand dominated handily. BYD led by a small margin over Volkswagen. Isso reinforced competitiveness in retail.
Analistas observed that the end consumer showed a preference for varied options. Chinese Marcas gained relevance. The movement indicated a gradual change in the direct purchasing profile.
Fiat also led the overall ranking, which includes direct sales to fleet owners and rental companies. However, retail highlighted another dynamic.
Desempenho by brand reveals different strategies
Toyota maintained solid volume, but saw CAOA Chery pull over. Honda and Hyundai also felt the approach. Renault and Ford completed the retail top 10 with lower volumes.
BYD expanded its presence with a focus on electrified vehicles. The brand’s growth in the country had already appeared in previous months. In April, the result consolidated the advance.
CAOA Chery, in turn, invested in SUVs. The good performance of models in the Tiggo line helped the company to establish itself among the main ones.
Perspectivas for the next few months
The market must remain competitive. The small difference between leaders suggests that promotions and financing conditions will influence choices.
Traditional Montadoras adjusts offers to defend participation. Marcas that grow in retail seek to expand their network and portfolio. The balance observed in April could be repeated or accentuated depending on the economic scenario.
Complete Dados for the month will still be consolidated by entities such as Fenabrave. Até At the moment, BYD’s preliminary numbers serve as the main reference.
