Sony PlayStation agrees to US$7.8 million to reimburse players for price gouging

A preliminary settlement of US$7.8 million has been approved in Califórnia’s lawsuit against Sony PlayStation. The case accuses the company of monopolizing the market by tightly controlling the platform’s digital store. Consumidores who purchased specific securities between April 2019 and December 2023 may be entitled to compensation.

The exact refund amount has not yet been determined individually. With $7.8 million to distribute among all eligible participants, it is impossible to calculate accurate compensation at this time.
