Nintendo has released its release calendar for May 2026, featuring nine new titles coming to Switch 2 and the original console. The month will be marked by a variety of genres, including narrative adventures, simulators, action and RPGs, catering to different player profiles. The releases take place between the beginning and end of the month, strategically distributed between the two platforms to strengthen each one’s catalog.

Aventuras narratives open the May calendar

The month begins with the launch of an exclusive title for Switch 2 on May 7th. Este game combines cinematic scenes with an immersive narrative, following three friends on their latest journey through an interactive world. The central proposal involves exploring mysteries and solving puzzles, as players seek to uncover secrets that have remained hidden for ages.

On May 12th, two titles arrive simultaneously. Indie Jones and the Great Circle puts the player in the role of a renowned archaeologist, facing challenges in ancient sites, solving puzzles and exploring secret settings around the world. Este title is exclusive to Switch 2. On the same day, Call of the Old Gods presents a narrative enveloped by the atmosphere of Lovecraft, offering players the chance to unravel mysteries of ancient civilizations while combining exploration with puzzle challenges.

Simuladores and exploration titles gain prominence in second week

The second half of May concentrates on the launch of simulators and exploration games. Descending arrives on May 14th for both consoles, offering an experience centered on customizing bunkers and exploring utopian worlds. The mechanism allows players to define their own pace of progress, both in solo and cooperative modes, providing total freedom in the way they play.

Farming Simulator 26: Nintendo Switch Edition follows on May 19, available only on the original console. Este simulator offers the complete experience of rural life, including operating agricultural machinery, raising animals, financial management and total immersion in modern rural activities.

RPGs and action titles close the month with variety

  • Tokyo Coffee Chat (May 21) — both consoles
  • Tales of ARISE: After Dawn Edition (May 22) — exclusive to Switch 2

Em Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, the player navigates through pages filled with sounds, discovering new methods of exploration and curious characters. Cada Discovery reveals engaging puzzles that unlock fascinating narrative paths. Tokyo Coffee Chat places the player behind a coffee counter, serving personalized drinks and interacting with humans and fantastical creatures, building meaningful connections that expand the game’s plot.

Tales of ARISE: After Dawn Edition is an action RPG centered on Alphen, a character who does not feel pain but has the power to influence whoever touches him. Esta edition includes the base game expanded with the Beyond and Dawn version, which extends both the campaign and the original narrative. Bubsy 4D returns with vibrant sound, jumping, sliding, running and robot combat mechanics, as well as item collecting, presenting a new approach to the classic platformer character.

Estratégia distribution reflects cross-platform balance

The May calendar demonstrates Nintendo’s strategic approach towards both consoles. Cinco titles come exclusively to Switch 2, bolstering the new generation starter library and promoting adoption of the latest hardware. Quatro titles launch simultaneously on both platforms, ensuring owners of the original console continue to receive active support and access to the latest experiences.

The diversity of genres reflects Nintendo’s commitment to catering to different player preferences throughout the month. Immersive Narrativas, in-depth simulators, action adventures and strategic RPGs form a robust portfolio that consolidates the company’s support for both platforms through May 2026.
