Chery officially presented the Tiggo V at Auto China 2026, a vehicle that integrates SUV, minivan and utility features into a single platform. The model was developed to meet the practical needs of modern families, combining flexibility, safety and comfort without requiring choices between different types of vehicles. The launch marks the evolution of a concept previously presented as T1TP at Indonésia.

Jeff Zhang, CEO of Chery, emphasized that all of the brand’s innovations are based on a family-centered principle. Esse commitment is reflected in vehicles capable of serving everything from urban trips to traveling with large groups and transporting equipment for outdoor activities, consolidating the proposal of versatility as a strategic differentiator.Tiggo V – Divulgação

Plataforma multifunctional redefines family vehicle segment

The Tiggo V is designed to eliminate the need to choose between different features. The platform allows customization according to different travel scenarios, keeping comfort as a central priority. The letter “V” in the name encapsulates three main project concepts that guided the entire development.

  • Versatilidade: ability to fulfill multiple functions in a single product, integrating SUV features, minivan comfort and cargo transport utility without compromise
  • Valor: practical efficiency proposal that meets diverse needs without significantly increasing operational costs
  • Victory: spirit of accompanying families in their achievements and important moments in everyday life

Desempenho in different terrain and weather conditions

The Tiggo V is equipped with the Chery Super Hybrid hybrid system (CSH), developed to provide agile and efficient power in urban use, highways and trips with maximum load. The ground clearance of 220 millimeters and the ability to cross puddles of up to 700 millimeters in the PHEV version and 650 millimeters in the gasoline version position the vehicle to face different terrain conditions.

The suspension was specifically calibrated to provide comfort on urban roads while ensuring stability when traveling over uneven surfaces. The maximum inclination angle of 30 degrees reinforces the preparation for natural obstacles and topographic variations, consolidating the model’s off-road capability without sacrificing drivability in an urban environment.

Powerful Eficiência and advanced hybrid technology

The PHEV version has fuel consumption from 6 liters per 100 kilometers, while the purely gasoline version registers 7.84 liters per 100 kilometers. Essas metrics position the Tiggo V as an economically viable solution for families who combine frequent urban commutes with long-distance travel.

The CSH system offers energy flexibility to homeowners. In the PHEV version, it is possible to switch between electric energy for short journeys and traditional fuel for extended journeys, optimizing operating costs according to individual usage patterns. Essa approach reduces fuel and energy expenses, making the vehicle attractive to different consumer profiles.

Estratégia marketing and after-sales support

The presentation at Auto China 2026 confirms Chery’s positioning in the face of contemporary family mobility challenges. The Chinese market, the largest consumer of vehicles in the world, represents a strategic laboratory for validating innovative concepts before global expansion to other continents and regions.

The global research that underpinned the development of the Tiggo V highlights growing concern for versatility in saturated urban environments. Modern Famíliass face practical dilemmas: the need for comfort for daily commuting, load capacity for recreational activities, and contemporary technology for integrated connectivity and safety.

Chery’s constantly expanding after-sales commitment complements the value proposition of the Tiggo V. Proprietários will have access to a structured service network for preventive and corrective maintenance, a critical element for customer retention in multifunctional vehicle segments that require periodic calibration of distinct and complex systems.
