Quarenta thousand people flocked to Palco Mundo in 2023 to see Twenty One Pilots on Lollapalooza. Agora, the American duo arrives at the Rio festival for the first time.
The organization of Rock in Rio announced this Tuesday, May 12th, the new attractions for September 13th, 2026. Twenty One Pilots joins Palco Mundo as the closing headliner. No Palco Sunset, Zara Larsson returns to the event after passing in 2024. The festival takes place at Parque Olímpico, Rio and Janeiro, on the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 11th, 12th and 13th of September.
Twenty One Pilots makes debut on Palco Mundo
The band formed by Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun brings to Brasil a show that mixes alternative rock, pop and electronic elements. Sucessos like Stressed Out and Ride marked the career of the Ohio group. Eles close the night on the main stage, a position reserved for the big names of the edition.
The performance marks the band’s only confirmed date in the country in 2026. The duo gained worldwide notoriety with albums such as Blurryface and Scaled and Icy. No Rock in Rio, the public should expect a production with big screens, lights and the energy characteristic of live performances.
Zara Larsson returns to the festival at Palco Sunset
The Swedish singer was already in Rock in Rio in 2024 and returns with recent hits from the album Midnight Sun. Seu’s danceable pop style with funk and R&B influences usually keeps the energy high from the beginning to the end of the show. No Sunset, a stage known for more intimate and diverse line-ups, she commands the night.
Zara Larsson built an international career with tracks such as Lush Life and Symphony. The 29-year-old Swedish artist has accumulated billions of streams and collaborations with names like Clean Bandit and David Guetta. The return to the festival reinforces the presence of female pop artists in the program.
Line-up on the 13th gains strength with international attractions
The last day of Rock in Rio 2026 already had other names. Agora, Twenty One Pilots and Zara Larsson complete the headliners team. The organization gradually reveals the rest of the lineup, which mixes rock, pop, electronics and Brazilian artists.

Venda of tickets has defined dates
Pre-sale for Itaú customers and Rock in Rio Club members begins on June 2nd at 12pm. The general sale opens on June 8th at 12pm on Ticketmaster Brasil. Cada CPF can buy up to four tickets per day, with a limit of one half-price ticket.

- Meia-entry: R$435
- Cliente Itaú: R$739.50
Pessoas with disabilities can purchase an additional half-price ticket for a companion. The organization reinforces that purchases must only be made through the official website to avoid fraud.
Outros days already have confirmed attractions
The festival presents a program spread over seven days. Foo Fighters, Avenged Sevenfold, Elton John, Stray Kids and Maroon 5 are some of the headliners already announced. Artistas Brazilians such as Sepultura, Luísa Sonza, João Gomes and Capital Inicial are also part of the line-up.
Dia 4 features Foo Fighters as the main attraction. On day 5, Avenged Sevenfold and Bring Me The Horizon split Palco Mundo. Elton John and Gilberto Gil appear on the 7th. Stray Kids closes the 11th, while Maroon 5 and Demi Lovato command the 12th.
The Parque Olímpico structure allows for multiple simultaneous stages. Além of Mundo and Sunset, New Dance Order and other spaces host niche attractions. The public can move between them during the event.
Expectativa grows with closure announcement
The confirmation of Twenty One Pilots as the closing headliner raises expectations among alternative rock fans. The duo rarely visits Brasil and the performance at Rock in Rio represents a unique opportunity for the public in Rio and other regions.
