Imagens and technical specifications of a new official Xbox controller aimed at cloud gaming were leaked last week, revealing details about advanced connectivity and a smaller design. The peripheral was discovered by the Tecnoblog portal with new components and features in the Microsoft line of accessories for game streaming.

Integrated Conectividade for cloud gaming

The control maintains the internal 500mAh battery, rechargeable via USB-C, but incorporates a new feature absent in previous models: native Wi-Fi 6. Além from Bluetooth 5.3, the device operates on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, an important differentiator for Xbox Cloud Gaming users who depend on a stable connection. The Realtek RTL8730E chip, equipped with two ARM Cortex-A7 cores at 1.2 GHz, processes wireless communication. Essa’s choice of components reflects Microsoft’s strategic focus on streaming experiences, where low latency and high throughput determine game quality.

The more compact design compared to the brand’s standard controller suggests increased portability. The images released show a black and white finish, with a traditional Xbox button layout and a pairing button positioned at the top, close to the USB-C input.

Especificações of the new peripheral

Características confirmed by leak:

  • Conectividade dual with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3
  • Chip Realtek RTL8730E with ARM Cortex-A7 dual-core processing at 1.2 GHz
  • 500mAh rechargeable internal Bateria
  • Porta USB-C for charging
  • Disponibilidade in black and white colors
  • Compact Design aimed at cloud gaming
  • Layout of buttons maintains traditional Xbox pattern

Peripheral Expansion Contexto

Microsoft has not yet officially announced or confirmed the new control. Segundo the same leak sources, the company is simultaneously working on three new peripherals: this cloud gaming model, a renewed Elite Series 3 and a basic control not yet revealed. The broad update of the accessories ecosystem indicates the manufacturer’s preparation for expanding its streaming platform. Windows App to Xbox Cloud Gaming continues to receive improvements, and cloud-optimized controls support the strategy to reduce dependence on dedicated hardware among casual users.

The presence of Wi-Fi integrated into an Xbox control marks a change in approach. The conventional Periféricos line relies solely on Bluetooth, requiring the console or receiving device to maintain an internet connection. A control with Wi-Fi 6 reduces points of failure in streaming scenarios, allowing direct connection to the network without intermediaries. Essa architecture benefits users with Bluetooth signal instability, common in environments with multiple wireless devices operating simultaneously.
