Ferrari presented the Luce, its first production electric car, in Roma, at Vela di Calatrava — Città dello Sport, a place that celebrates 79 years of the brand’s first triumph in the Italian capital. The model arrives with 4 doors, 5 seats and numbers that define the Maranello multi-energy strategy: 1,050 horsepower, 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and a range of over 530 kilometers.

The presentation of the Luce marks a new chapter for Italian manufacturing. The car incorporates more than 60 new patents and was designed by LoveFrom, a collective led by Sir Jony Ive, creator of the iPhone, in partnership with Marc Newson. Flavio Manzoni, head of Ferrari Design Studio, coordinated the collaboration that resulted in a completely new visual language.

Desempenho and electric motor technology

The Luce accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, with 0 to 200 km/h achieved in 6.8 seconds. Velocidade maximum speed exceeding 310 km/h. The curb weight is 2260 kilograms. The battery, with a capacity of 122 kWh, supports fast charging of up to 350 kW and guarantees more than 530 kilometers of autonomy per charge.

Interior and equipment without digital excess

The interior mixes hundreds of components in visual harmony with the exterior. Botões, dials, switches and precision mechanical levers coexist with multifunctional displays developed with the Samsung Display. The only references to the brand’s past are the halo-shaped taillights, inspired by the 360 Modena and 458 Italia.

Chassis and Ferrari Luce aerodynamics

The active suspension is derived from the F80 single-seater racing car. Rear axle steering improves maneuverability at low speeds and stability at high speeds. The largest wheel diameters on a series Ferrari street car are fitted: 23 inches at the front and 24 inches at the rear, contributing to the model’s aerodynamic look.

The name Luce evokes clarity and direction as explained by the brand. The project is not just positioned as “electric Ferrari”, but as “a completely new Ferrari, designed for deep involvement and performance, with a unique and unmistakable character”, according to an official statement from Maranello.

The multi-energy strategy was originally announced in 2022, on Dia of Mercado of Capitais, and confirmed on several public occasions since then. The Luce represents the first concrete step in this transformation, consolidating the Italian brand’s presence in the luxury and high-performance electric vehicle segment.
