Honda introduced the restyled Honda City for the Thai market with significant changes to the product line. The urban sedan now prioritizes hybrid versions as a standard option, leaving gasoline variants in a secondary position. The update maintains sedan and hatchback offerings, highlighting new designs and technology in the interior.

Dianteira redesigned and renewed look

The facelift brings a completely reimagined front end with sharper LED headlights and a more refined honeycomb grille. Standard models gain different air intakes in the bumper, while the RS version maintains its characteristic red emblem and exclusive lower finish.

At the rear, the LED taillights have transparent lenses on a dark gray background. The RS version distinguishes itself with an enlarged faux diffuser, although the single exhaust remains discreetly positioned under the bumper. Honda launched new alloy wheel designs and expanded the color palette for the RS version, including Belzing red and Urban gray with pearlescent finish. The Drival Edition and its aggressive body kit apparently did not survive the restyling.

The side profile remains essentially identical to the pre-facelift model, practically unchanged since 2019. Essa continuity in the side design contrasts with the more radical changes in the front and rear region.

Interior with bigger screen and new features

The main new feature inside is the new 10-inch infotainment screen, replacing the previous unit on higher models. Entry-level models receive a slightly smaller head unit that integrates more harmoniously into the dashboard. Ambient Iluminação, 360-degree camera, wireless charging and auto-dimming interior rearview mirror are now standard.

Buyers will have access to a new Cinza Platina interior, available exclusively in Cinza Meteoro Metálico or Preto Cristal Perolizado exterior colors. Essas combinations create a more sophisticated aesthetic in the urban cabin.

Linha of hybrid-focused products

The engine structure underwent a substantial transformation with the promotion of hybrids as the standard option. Most petrol variants have been discontinued, leaving only a turbo VTEC variant as a non-hybrid alternative. Essa strategy reflects the Thai market’s direction towards electrification.

The changes applied to the Thai market follow the renewal pattern that Honda implemented for the Indian sedan. The Thai market has historically found the Honda City to be a more interesting proposition than its competitors, maintaining this tradition with the latest update.

The inclusion of the hatchback version and the RS version, both unavailable on the Indian market, reinforces the uniqueness of the Thai offering. Essas options ensure Thai consumers have greater flexibility of choice compared to their peers in other Asian regions.
