Samsung took another step in the development of One UI 9. Test builds of the new system appeared on the company’s internal servers for the Galaxy A57 and A17 5G models. The information indicates that preparation work for these intermediate and entry-level devices is already underway.

The Galaxy A57 should have a chance to participate in the beta program at some point. The A17 5G will probably only receive the stable version in the future. The identified builds carry specific firmware versions, which confirms Samsung’s internal activity.

Test builds appear on internal servers

Samsung has listed test versions of One UI 9 for these two devices recently. The Galaxy A57 appears with the BZF3 firmware, while the A17 5G has the DZF1 variant. These codes appeared on the company’s test servers.

This move comes while One UI 9 is already in official beta for the Galaxy S26 series in select markets. The software is based on Android 17 and brings improvements to the interface, AI features and customization. For A models, the initial focus is on internal preparation before any expansion of public testing.

  • Galaxy A57 with BZF3 build
  • Galaxy A17 5G with DZF1 build
  • Confirmation of active development for line A
  • Possibility of beta for the A57
  • Stable version planned for later stage

The presence of these builds suggests that both phones are eligible to receive One UI 9 when the update is widely released.

Galaxy A57 and A17 5G already run recent versions of the system

Currently, the Galaxy A57 leaves the factory with Android 16 and One UI 8.5. The model stands out for its fluid interface and extended support for updates, with the promise of several generations of software. The more affordable A17 5G also offers good support longevity, although it starts with a slightly lighter version of One UI.

Users of these devices especially value the consistency of performance and the AI capabilities already present. The advancement to One UI 9 should bring additional refinements to multitasking, animations, and productivity tools.

What to expect from the One UI 9 update

Samsung’s new system expands customization options and more deeply integrates artificial intelligence features. Initial tests on flagships already show improvements in quick panels, widgets and security. For the Galaxy A line, the expectation is that the highlights will arrive in a form adapted to the hardware of each model.

The stable launch of One UI 9 should occur alongside the brand’s next foldables, scheduled for July. Afterwards, the update gradually reaches other devices, including intermediaries such as the A57 and A17 5G.

Summary technical sheet of models

The Galaxy A57 5G positions itself as a premium option in the mid-range category, with a good balance between performance, camera and battery. The A17 5G focuses on accessibility, maintaining 5G connectivity and a quality screen for the entry-level segment.

Both devices should benefit from the update not only in new features, but also in stability optimizations and threat protection. Samsung usually provides long-term support for these models, which reinforces the long-term value for those who purchase today.

The company has not yet released exact rollout dates for these devices. Users can follow the news through the Samsung Members app or through the brand’s official channels.
