This month, the Federal Revenue is holding an electronic auction of seized or abandoned goods in São Paulo. The event brings together more than 200 lots with vehicles, household appliances, jewelry, electronic equipment and even agricultural machinery.

Highlights include a 2007 silver Toyota Premio with a minimum bid of R$10,500, a 2025 silver Chevrolet Onix for R$18,000, a 2009 white Peugeot Boxer van for R$8,600 and a 2011 silver Mercedes-Benz minibus for R$22,000. There is also a Voltz electric motorcycle without a battery for R$2,900 and an electric scooter for R$1,200.

In the machinery segment, a used John Deere harvester from 2008 has a starting price of R$90,000. More affordable items attract attention: a pair of Tiffany silver earrings for R$180, a set with microwaves, coffee makers, air fryers and deep fryers for R$800, and a Nilfisk vacuum cleaner for R$650.

The notice also lists computers, tablets, smartwatches, screens, cell phone parts, musical instruments, tools and industrial materials.

How to participate in the auction

Individuals and legal entities can participate. It is necessary to have a Gov.br account with a silver or gold level reliability seal. Access occurs through the Federal Revenue portal, in the option “Participate in electronic auction”, selecting notice 0800100/0000008/2026.

Proposals can be sent until 6pm on Friday (June 12). The bidding session is scheduled for 10am on June 15th. Visits to the assets take place until June 11, by prior appointment at Revenue units in several cities in São Paulo, such as São Paulo, Barueri, Campinas and Santos.

New rule against unrealistic bids

Since April, the IRS has required additional confirmation when a proposal exceeds the lot’s assessed value by ten times. Without confirmation within the deadline, the offer is automatically disqualified. The measure seeks to reduce proposals without payment intention, which delayed the conclusion of previous auctions.

What changes in practice for the buyer

Goods are sold in closed lots, generally without warranty. Buyers should check conditions in the notice and, if possible, schedule a visit. Some lots have resale restrictions, especially for cell phones and accessories. Payment is made via Darf after the auction, and withdrawal must occur within 30 days.

Auctions like this represent a way for the IRS to allocate seized goods, generating revenue at no additional cost to the taxpayer. In recent editions, thousands of similar lots were sold, helping to empty stocks of retained goods.
