During the Nintendo Direct held this Tuesday (9), Nintendo released the official values of three titles for the Switch 2: Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort and the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass.

The highlight is Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, the new tactical RPG in the series. The standard physical version costs US$80, while the digital version costs US$70. The publisher also confirmed a special edition for US$120 at retail, which should include extra items such as a steelbook and art book.

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, a spiritual sequel to Wii Sports Resort with new motion-controlled sports, will have a friendlier price: US$60 in physical stores and US$50 in digital stores. The game promises family multiplayer and a return to environments like Wuhu Island.

The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, DLC for the cozy simulation title released in March, costs US$35 for a single purchase. The amount unlocks all planned additional content, including new areas, Pokémon and customization items.

This disclosure follows the new pricing strategy announced by Nintendo for the Switch 2. Digital versions of first-party games are US$10 cheaper than physical ones, a difference that aims to balance the cost for consumers who prefer downloads.

The prices reflect the premium positioning of the Switch 2, with Fire Emblem adopting the highest level seen in recent releases on the platform. The special edition of the game, in particular, reinforces Nintendo’s bet on collectors.

Analysts note that the decision to keep digital more accessible could help console adoption, especially in a year with several major releases. The single DLC model for Pokopia also simplifies the experience for players who want all the extra content at once.
