The Honor Magic V6 arrives as a significant evolution of foldables, combining thinner construction, advanced protection against water and dust and the largest battery ever seen in the category.
The device maintains similarities with the Magic V5, but brings enough improvements to justify the update. Now IP68 and IP69 certified, it resists dust and high-pressure water jets, in addition to withstanding submersion of up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes. The hinge has been reinforced, protection against falls has improved and the profile has become even slimmer, with less noticeable creases on the internal screen.
Improved design and screens
The Magic V6 measures just 4.0 mm when opened in the white version and weighs around 219 g. It is available in four colors, with different finishes on the rear. The 7.95-inch foldable internal screen uses an AMOLED LTPO 2.0 panel with anti-reflective coating, 120 Hz rate, 5000 nits peak brightness and 2172×2352 pixel resolution. The external screen has grown to 6.52 inches, also LTPO 2.0, with brightness of up to 6000 nits and NanoCrystal Shield protection.
Cutting-edge performance
Inside, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with eight cores offers maximum power, accompanied by up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Unlike some competitors that use reduced versions of the chip, the Magic V6 features the complete processor, with a vapor chamber for cooling. The system runs Android 16 with MagicOS 10, which includes a more fluid interface, improved integration with iOS and macOS devices, as well as native AI features.
Cameras maintain strong configuration
The rear set continues with a 50 MP main sensor, a 64 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 50 MP ultrawide lens with macro support. The front cameras, one on each screen, are 20 MP. The system allows 4K recording with optical and electronic stabilization.
Battery is the big highlight
The capacity jumps to 6660 mAh in the global version (compared to 5820 mAh for the V5), with promises of up to 24 hours of use on the big screen. Charging reaches 80W wired and 66W wireless, plus reverse support. In Chinese versions, the battery can reach 7150 mAh depending on the storage configuration.
This combination of a large battery in a thin body represents an important advance: while many foldables sacrifice autonomy for thickness, the Magic V6 delivers both.
Unboxing and accessories
The black packaging includes the device, USB-C cable and a protective cover with stand, matching the color of the device. The European version does not come with a charger in the box. Those who want the fastest charging should separately purchase a compatible 66W or higher Honor model with an upgraded USB-C port.
