Audience for Virginia Fonseca’s debut on Domingão with Huck falls short of expectations
TV Globo’s strategy of inviting Virginia Fonseca to act as “special reporter” for *Domingão com Huck* during the World Cup did not yield the expected results in terms of audience. Even with more than 56 million followers on Instagram, the influencer’s participation did not significantly boost the Sunday program’s ratings.
According to market information obtained, the first part of *Domingão*, which was attended by Virginia, recorded an average of 10.7 points in Greater São Paulo. This segment aired from 2:54 pm to 4:32 pm, focusing on the presenter’s debut.
A comparison with previous editions shows lower performance. On April 12, when the attraction was also divided into two parts, the first block reached 13.0 points. On that occasion, the program was boosted by the elimination of Marciele Albuquerque from *BBB 26*, who was live on stage.
The segment “Diário de Virginia”, in which the influencer and Lucas Guedez visited New York and joked about the controversy surrounding her hiring in place of a journalist, scored just 10.5 points while it was on air.
Luciano Huck’s live conversation with Virginia Fonseca, in which the influencer avoided commenting on a possible reunion with Vini Jr. and the bouquet of flowers received on Valentine’s Day, performed slightly better, reaching 11.1 points in Greater São Paulo.
