Cristiano Ronaldo’s family invests in luxury condominium in Xangri-lá, RS
Cristiano Ronaldo’s relatives decided to consolidate their presence in Brazilian territory. Among the commercial transactions concluded recently are three areas of land located within a high-end residential complex in Xangri-lá, on the coast of Rio Grande do Sul. The residential complex is planned for completion in 2028 and its main attraction is the implementation of the largest swimming pool structure with an artificial beach in the national territory.
The Portuguese athlete’s sister, Katia Aveiro, together with matriarch Dolores Aveiro, purchased the three properties in the Bravia Marina gated community. The high-standard subdivision is positioned on the side of the RS-407 highway, right on the entrance corridor to Xangri-lá, a municipality located in the North Coast region of the state.
Technical details and values of the land acquired
The negotiation involved three different plots of land, whose square footage ranges from 500 m² to 600 m² per unit. The football player’s mother made an in-person visit to the town of Xangri-lá during New Year’s Eve festivities in 2025, an opportunity in which she was able to explore the regional real estate potential.
The price quotas for properties fluctuate in the range from R$600,000 to R$1.5 million, with the accumulated General Sales Value of the entire project reaching the estimated figure of R$410 million. The general infrastructure provides a total of 450 private plots of land, with a 70% net navigable surface that allows transit and immediate contact with water channels.
Leisure structure and attractions of the residential development
The structural planning projects the construction of the largest swimming pool basin with an artificial beach in the country, featuring an extension of 3.5 thousand square meters of mirrored water surface combined with a space of more than 5 thousand square meters covered by natural sand. The high-end condominium will also have a floating platform for boats, walking paths on the river bank, boat docks, private helipad, multi-sport complexes and arenas for beach tennis.
Katia Aveiro established a permanent residence in the municipality of Gramado and has already managed a gastronomic establishment serving Portuguese cuisine in the mountain area, which displayed pieces and memorabilia linked to the international striker’s career. The athlete’s sister entered into a marriage with Alexandre Bertolucci Júnior, a citizen from Rio Grande do Sul.
Commercial ties and family history in Rio Grande do Sul
The food outlet closed its activities to the public, however the members of the Aveiro clan maintained their financial contributions in the Brazilian market. In parallel with the acquisitions made in the seaside resort, the family group promoted the launch of a new construction project in one of the most valued areas of Gramado, in the Serra Gaúcha region, during the first months of this year.
Cristiano Ronaldo himself held assets and shares in the real estate segment of Balneário Camboriú, a luxury tourism hub located in Santa Catarina. The renowned player acted as the centerpiece of advertising campaigns for a construction corporation due to the friendly ties between local businesspeople and the player’s relatives, which validated the intentions of injecting resources into the Santa Catarina city at that time.
The process of getting closer to the culture of Rio Grande do Sul marked a decisive milestone in the 2017 season, a period in which Katia took a tourist trip to Gramado, the land where her partner was born. This initial moment consolidated an emotional connection that gradually generated the decision to transfer his permanent home to the South of Brazil.
Working in the business and digital content production sectors, Katia also develops a musical career and performed an artistic performance in 2016 at the Beira-Rio Stadium. The artist from Portugal sang for the audience present at the “Gigante Bowl”, a sporting event that served as the stage for the big decision of the state American football tournament.
Striker Cristiano Ronaldo occupies the position of youngest son, completing the group of direct descendants of the family that also includes the brothers Elma and Hugo. The progenitor of the family group, Dinis Aveiro, had his death recorded during 2005.
