Palmeiras ensures Allan remains in the professional squad after Abel Ferreira’s request
Palmeiras made a firm decision regarding the future of midfielder Allan, guaranteeing his stay at the club for the current season. The confirmation, released this Monday (February 23), occurs despite the interest shown by several European football teams in the young promise.
The Alviverde board, after a series of internal meetings and an explicit request from coach Abel Ferreira, concluded that the maintenance of the number 40 shirt is crucial. This strategy aims not only to sustain the strength of the squad, but also to increase the chances of winning titles in the 2026 season, consolidating the club’s philosophy of investing in promising talents for a long-term project.
The athlete Allan was the target of several surveys and even received official offers, including one from Napoli, from Italy. However, the São Paulo club chose to retain the player, prioritizing the immediate sporting benefits and the possibility of future market appreciation.
Since his rise to the first team, the midfielder has shown great potential, quickly establishing himself as one of the key players in the Greater National Champion. In 65 matches played, Allan registered five goals and contributed six assists for the team.
