Xiaomi smartphones in China and EEA start receiving HyperOS with June security package
Xiaomi has started distributing the update to its HyperOS operating system, incorporating the latest security package for June, for a variety of mobile devices. This new version is initially being made available in China and throughout the European Economic Area (EEA). The release covers five specific smartphone models from Xiaomi and Redmi, all operating based on HyperOS 3, and introduces a large number of essential security enhancements.
Among the security flaws fixed, critical points identified in the Framework and the Android operating system stand out. The update also reinforces protection against privilege escalation exploits, both remote and local, in addition to mitigating risks of denial of service attacks and potential leaks of sensitive information, raising the level of protection of user data.
The new security implementations are structured into two distinct packages: the first, dated June 1, 2026, covers devices with Android 14, 15, 16 and Android 16 QPR2, including complementary fixes focused on the Google Play System. The second package, dated June 5, 2026, encompasses all the improvements from the previous version, plus security optimizations provided by hardware manufacturers such as Qualcomm, MediaTek, Unisoc and Imagination PowerVR GPUs.

The cell phone models that have started the process of receiving this crucial update are the following, according to the list released:
- Xiaomi 15 Pro: with version OS3.0.304.0. WOBCNXM, receiving the June 1st patch in China.
- Xiaomi 15 Ultra: also in China, with version OS3.03.30.0. WOACNXM and the June 1st patch.
- Xiaomi 15T Pro: distributed in the European Economic Area (EEA), version OS3.03.04.0. WOSEUXM, including the June 1st patch.
- Redmi K70 Ultra: specific details about the version were not disclosed by Ximitime.
- Xiaomi 14T Pro: available in the EEA, version OS3.0.302.0. WNNEUXM, with the June 1st patch.
In addition to essential security fixes, new software builds aim to improve the overall stability of the operating system. For comprehensive and complete protection, it is advised that users also update system applications to their latest versions, thus ensuring maximum security.
