Ongoing fire hits warehouse of around 7 thousand square meters in Bobigny this Wednesday
A major fire event mobilizes rescue teams in the city of Bobigny, in the Seine-Saint-Denis region, in France. The local city hall confirmed the incident this Wednesday, June 17, in the early afternoon, through its official platform on X (formerly Twitter), indicating the presence of Paris firefighters on site to control the flames.
The flames consumed a warehouse measuring approximately 7 thousand square meters, located in a strategic industrial area. The city hall, in a statement to the newspaper Le Parisien, detailed the scale of the accident, revealing a dense column of smoke that can be seen from several kilometers away, raising concerns about air quality and visibility. The fire is still not under control, and combat work is expected to last for many hours. Representatives of the municipal administration and local police personnel are closely monitoring the situation on the ground.
Given the seriousness, the town hall of Seine-Saint-Denis issued a formal warning, advising residents to “avoid the area” where the fire is active. In parallel, the departmental operational center was immediately activated to coordinate response actions and guarantee the safety of the local population, minimizing risks and impacts on the community.
